Will it be good for me to negotiate my salary after a gap of 2 years?

I have recently come back after a gap of 2 years gap. I was required to go outside I ndia for some personal problem but I never knew that it will take so much time.So now I am looking for a new job. I have a doubt. Will it be good for me to go for salary negotiation at this stage after a gap of 2 years? Please guide me in the right direction.

    Dear Aspirant,

During period of whole life,A person has to face various unknown problems & situations. Most of the problems come unexpectedly & a wise man faces it very easily, because a person can do his duty only.So the situation is same with you.

Have patience. Now as you have stated your situation, you need not go for salary negotiation. It is time to get desired job as early as possible. If you try for PSU or govt. job, your question does not arise, because the salary is fixed there.

Since you have two years gap,the employer in pvt.sector may not feel comfort to negotiate salary with you.So first get & join job even at lower salary then expectation & try for better job then after.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Hello Aspirant,

Really It is a matter of great sorrow to know that you had to be out of country for a period of two years.

To my mind,It will always be good to search & get a good job as early as possible, because you have already spent two years away from your profession which is very valuable time for hike in salary & promotion.

I would suggest you to join a job even at lower salary than your expectation. You can try for betterment then after. An experience man is always preferred for responsibility with higher salary that you unfortunately lost due to your personal problem that can be compensated with your hard work & full devotion for your job.Try to give the best performance in professional career.

A man/human being can over come any problem with patience, hard labour & wisdom.

    Good luck.

    Hi aspirant

I think that as you have had a gap of 2 years , you are at a disadvantage now with regards to getting a new job. So its better that you accept the salary given to you by the interviewer rather than negotiating it and thus maybe losing out on a good opportunity. You should first see that how your interview is going on and then only negotiate if you have answered brilliantly and the interviewer himself asks you to negotiate your salary.

So friend its upto you that how you want to proceed in this case. Its better that you accept the salary if you feel that it is more or less near to what you deserve. Then with your hard work and capabilities you can definitely rise and increase your salary to whatever amount you want.It will be your hard work that is going to pay you in the long run and then such things won't matter at all.

I hope that you understand my point. Good luck

    DEAR Friend,

During the course of life every one has to face lots of ups and downs. Recently you have faced some sort of disturbance in your life. No problem this is the nature of life.
Coming to your question, dear, I think that you should first try to get a job which first suits your qualification. Afterwards, working there for 1 or 2 year you can negotiate for the salary.
Till than keep searching jobs and don't waste your time .

    Good Luck

    dear friend

two years are very long time to stay away from your field
so no dont worry about the salary, you have to start in
any way. so if you are offered lower salary then grab it
and get into the field, after some new experience and fresh knowledge
find another jobs of higher salary.
it will take some time but you have to do.
because you are going to take a new start.

    Hello,

No, the time is not right for you to ask for a salary hike. You have two years
gap to fill so you should first find a suitable job and work there for a couple
of years and then can decide wheather to go in for salary hike or not. For the
time being you should concentrate on getting a good job in either goverment
    sector or in private sector.

    Bye,
