Will flattering the boss be a good tactic on my part for a better future in the company?

I am working in an automobile company. I have joined this job 2 months ago. Since I joined I have been hearing from my colleagues that flattering the boss makes life easier for the employees. So I am now thinking of doing as they say. Will flattering the boss be a good tactic on my part for a good future here?

    hello..

Friend , I don't think that it is a good move because of two things first is that you are there to work and if you will not be a good performer you will not be there and time your flattering will not work at any cost. The second reason is, if you flatter your boss and then you will automatically lose your interest in your work and then again you will face something harsh. Listening his praise , nobody dislike, you can praise your boss for his good qualities but flattering is a wrong thing so my friend focus on your work because if that will good you don't need to do this kind of things.

    thanks.

    Hi aspirant

You should definitely maintain good relations with your boss if you have to succeed in your company. You should even flatter him if the need arises. But you should take care that you don't overdo it and that your boss should not realise that you are just trying to flatter him as you want to make your life easier in the company. You should keep on working hard simultaneously if you really want to impress your boss.

Hard work and dedication is the only key to your success. If you are not performing well, then your boss might get miffed with you inspite of your constant flattering of him. You should make it a point to give 100% to your work and always complete all your work on time giving no chance to your boss to complaint against you. Then I am sure you will be able to reach very high in your company and will keep on tasting success.

I hope that you understand my point. Good luck

    Hello Aspirant,

Flattering means praising or appreciating your boss for each & every activity whether it is wrong or right. You have to be always yes man for your boss. You will have to criticise others before your boss in order to make him happy.

To my mind it is not good as all the officers/managers/boss don't like flatterer.Because it is highly objectionable by the efficient & devotee employees. Also it is not possible to be a good flatterer, because it is not good also.If you have required knowledge, planning & strategy to work, good health mental & physical, you can rise in your life to a great extent. You can be awarded & rewarded too with your efficiency to work. The company can not run with flatterers only.

Of course you should have good relation with your boss in order to rise in your life.Working well & flattering little will work for you to a great extent.

    Good luck.

    Hi,

No...you can grow to a certain level by flattering your boss...
Don't try to do so...but try to impress your boss by good work...may be it will take times to grow, but that will be your asset for ever...every bosses are not same and if you grow this habbit, you will find difficulty in other jobs as well...
Do what ever your mind ask to do...think that you are also in his position... what will you do at that time...will you allow some one who wants to impress you by flattering...
Unless you know the real fact, you can tolarate...but the next day when the matter came in fornt you will be in deep shit...

If you face issues you can discuss the same with your boss...

No it would not be a good tactic at all.
You should just do your assigned work in best way possible
Delight the customers that you attend.
Your behaviour with your boss should be totally professional
Also you should follow all the rules and regulations of the company.
This will help you in the career

    Dear Aspirant,

Flattering of a boss is not a easy joke & it is not possible to all.If you are a experienced hand in this field, you can do it,but it is not prospective, because it is not liked by all the boss.

If you think of flattering, you will have to be ready to be a blind yes man for your boss.you will have to support for right or wrong thing to your boss. You will have to do spy work to your boss.

To my mind develop your capability to work well with having goos relation with your boss.Your boss too need good hands to complete the official targets in time.Boss may also have to report his performance to his boss.If he has a group of flatterers, what report he will give to his boss & how he can get the office work done in time? What answers he will give to others on questioned by devotee employees?

So be fluent in English, technically sound in your subjects, polite behaviour,& be copperative to others which will pay you much in your life.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Hello,

Let me tell you that the path which your colleagues have shown you will not lead you towards success.Unless your performance is upto the mark, just by flattering the boss wont allow you to survive their for long.Your performance must be good enough, otherwise the company will simply ask you to leave.Flattering the boss is not a way of working in the company. If you want to survive in this job stop listening to what your colleagues are siggesting you to do.
