Why job applications ask if we are terminated or not from the previous job?

It just sad how the world is, I have done one single mistake in my previous job and now I am not able to get any job anywhere. Every place I apply for the job they have this question in the job application where they ask for “Terminated from the previous job” and when that is been given “Yes” then for sure they are just rejecting the application. What should I do now? Why they are doing this? Can you please advice me for overcoming this issue in my life? Thanks.

    Dear Aspirant,

It is very sad to know your situation. You have not mentioned after how long of your job you have been terminated. If your previous lentgh of service was not more than 2 to 3 years, you can hide the fact.Need not mention any thing in the clause of termination in the application form.

The employer has provided such clause in order to see the nature, behaviour & past experience of the candidate, because giving an employment to any candidates means handing over the assest, liability & responsibility of the company/organisation.

So if you want to get another job,you have to hide the fact for termination, because if you accept your termination from the past job,It reveals you have failed to discharge your duty assigned & bear the responsibility.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Helllo there,

Yes,it is realy a pain. Being a human its become unavoidable to escape being wrong.
However, jobs applications today demand insight to their candidates previous job profile so as to have a proper communication.
    # Your Termination from previous job may have resulted due to reasons which your future employer intend to know.
-There is no loud reason so as why they ask so.

    * To resolve this issue I would suggest you to keep the termination under wraps. Fill in the reason with some other cause.
    # Avoid using the word termination. It ll help you a lot.
    Good Luck.

    Hi aspirant

I completely sympathesize with you and surely think that you deserve a second chance. I think everybody in this world deserves a second chance and you are no exception to that. Just for making one mistake does not mean that you have to be punished for it throughout your life. If this world is cruel to you then i think you should also be smart enough to understand the ways of the world and deal with them in your own way.Being completely honest, as in your matter, is not going to get you anywhere.

So its better that in the job application you dont mention that you have been terminated from the previous job. Then your application will not be rejected and you may get the job. But if they come to know later on through a background check then you tell them the truth that why you were terminated and also why you did not mention it in your application. I am sure they will give you another chance.

    Good luck friend and Thanks

In many companies they get the many applications for the vacancies and while shortlisting the applicants if they found any terminated applicant from previous job they immediately reject it. So you should not have to mention the termination details otherwise at every company the result will be the same. Try to hide this fact and go for the job. If you are not able to hide this fact, then you can get this job only with the recommendtions of any important person, who can assure your credibility.

hello dearYour situation is absolutely worse. But you should not worry and planning for different and positive. You should indicate your past termination of job because any employer do not want any candidate who has terminated before because they think thatyou have not capabilities for wearing responsibility of work or you are not able to handle worse situation in emergency.so you should include your positive skills in your resume.if you are not so old man/woman then it can be hid that you have terminated.but be sure that your current employer can ask for experience so be calmly and reply it with confidence.if you have worked one more of terminated then you should include those company's employment details.best of luck
