Why are government staffs in banks so lethargic?

In today’s competitive environment it is very tough to get a good job and government jobs are the dream jobs for anyone due to its safety of employment. Then why do the government staff is so lethargic and lazy in performing their tasks at any government offices?

    Hello,

Yes, it is true and you just cannot change their attitute towards work. The work culture
in all banks, particularly goverment ones are pathetic. The system is such that employees
tend to work in a very very letahrgic manner. There is a fault in the system unless the system
changes there not gonna be a change in employee's attitude.

    Bye,

it is almost due to the laziness of our government and somewhat due to laziness of the citizen.
actually government is searching for work only at paper and most of the workers are lazy.they dont want to do work.
their thinking is limited.they think only about themselves not about the country.so they dont work.they think that salary is coming so what is the need to do work.they feel relax after getting the job.
but if you have any type of problem due to this you may complain against a worker who is not working well.government will take action.

    Dear Aspirant,

It is true that some of the govt.employees are rather lethargic in discharging their duties. It is mainly due to job security.Of course it is not true to say that no action is taken in govt.jobs, but there are many measures to be safe in govt.jobs, because of which the employees are rather relaxed & there by they don't take much pain in discharging their duties.

On the contrary, you have full right to lodge a complaint against any such employees who harass you.You can complain to just the senior officer of the employee concerned & if no action is taken, you may report against both of them to their still senior officers. You may notice that your work will be done fastly & you meet your purposes.

So don't be disappointed.Where there is a problem, there is a solution to it.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Hi friend
Yes my friend you are right that the staff of the most of the government sector is very lazy. That all the people wants’ to get the government job .because in the government job sector there is no strictness on the employee in terms of work. That’s why they are so lazy and irresponsible I think the Indian government has to take a necessary on these problems. Most of the government sectors are suffering from corruption at that time.
I hope may be in future the government employee are doing their job work on right time..
    Thank you……

    Dear Friend,
The fault lies in the system.

It is true that it is very hard to get a governmnet job but it is also that much tough for the system even to fire any governmnet employee.

The governmnet bank official are relectuant and lethargic since thay are sure about their salary and also the security of the job.

There are several incentives which also decreases the will to work.

    Hello,

The answer in within your question itself.Getting a government job is really tough as you have to beat lakhs of students in order to reach the goal. But once anyone gets the job they become relaxed. They enjoy the resting period once they get the job.No fear of losing the job, that is job security makes them even more reluctant to do their work properly.Like in private organisations where there is constant evaluation of the employees performance, here in govt banks due to absence of such performance evaluatory authority, they take their job for granted! Since they get good salary every month, they hardly take any tension regarding their job!

    Hello Aspirant,

It's right that the Government employees are lethargic. The main reason for joining a govt. job is the safety of job and this has also become the reason for the laziness of employees. There is no fear among the employees that they will be fired from the job because of low performance level.

Moreover, there is no one to look at the efficiency level of the employees and reward them according to the performance. So, there is no motivation to perform outstandingly and get rewarded for that.

Moreover, this is the reason for rising corruption level in govt. offices and increase in loss of the public enterprises for which strict actions must be taken by the govt.

    Thanks.

Dear you are 100% right at your place because this is being happened in so many government fields and there is no proper solution because all the current employees are aged and unable to work more and handle the pressure of work in any department that is why they works with laxity and this is unprofessional at present and you have mentioned about the bank so I would like to say you that our financial minister has taken a right decision to change all the old employees till 2018 and banking sector will hire more than 7 lakh fresh employees for various posts only in banking sector so this will be the boost to this sector and our Indian banking and economy will run because of fresh and energetic employees and this is the right decision because lakhs of employees are going to be retired and work is being increased that is why there are many jobs in government banking sector

    All the best

Re: Why are government staffs in banks so lethargic?

It is almost as a result of laziness of our government and relatively because of laziness of the citizen.
really government is searching for perform just at paper and most of the individuals are lazy.they won't wish to accomplish work.
their considering is limited.they think just about themselves perhaps not about the country.so they won't work.they believe pay is coming so what's the need to do work.they sense relax following getting the job.
but when you have almost any problem because of this you might protest against a employee who is not working well.government will take action.
It's true that some of the govt.employees are relatively lethargic in discharging their duties. It is mainly due to work security.Of program it is not the case to say that no activity is taken in govt.jobs, but there are many steps to be secure in govt.jobs,as a result of that the workers are relatively relaxed & there by they don't really get significantly suffering in discharging their duties.

On the opposite, you have whole right to hotel an issue against any such workers who harass you.You can protest to just the elderly officer of the staff worried & if no activity is taken, you might report against equally of these to their still elderly officers. You may possibly discover that the perform will be done fastly & you meet your purposes.
It's correct that the Government workers are lethargic. The main reason for joining a govt. work is the protection of work and it has also become the reason behind the laziness of employees. There is no anxiety one of the workers that they may be fired from the work as a result of low performance level.

Furthermore, there's no one to look at the performance degree of the workers and prize them in line with the performance. So, there's no determination to perform outstandingly and get rewarded for that.

Furthermore, this is the reason behind increasing problem stage in govt. offices and upsurge in lack of people enterprises which is why strict activities must be used by the govt.
you're 100% correct at your position since this is being occurred in so several government areas and there's no proper answer since all the present workers are aged and unable to perform more and manage the force of perform in virtually any office that is why they works together laxity and this is unprofessional at provide and you have mentioned about the financial institution so I would like to say you our financial minister has brought the right choice to change all of the previous workers until 2018 and banking industry can employ over 7 lakh fresh workers for numerous posts just in banking industry and this would be the boost to this industry and our Indian banking and economy can work as a result of fresh and dynamic workers and this is actually the correct choice since lakhs of workers will be retired and perform is being increased that is why there are many jobs in government banking industry

Re: Why are government staffs in banks so lethargic?

    Dear Friend

Yes,it is true that government jobs are the dream jobs but after securing jobs in banks people become lazy and have different attitude towards work.

The main reason behind that day by day they have to do the same work due to which they acquire monotony in work and hence become lazy.

It can be solved by introducing innovative style of working in banks which will reduce monotony and keep them fresh year hour of work.

For example five minutes gap between every two hours should be provided along tea and coffee .

Hope the information helps and satisfies you .If you have any other query you can leave it here.

    All the best
