Its based on which bank you are working, there is no pension schemes for the Private banking Sectors and even the Government Banks, not all the banks provide the Benefit to the Clerk Employees.

State bank of India, and other Corporate banks have the schemes to offer Pension plan all the Employees but certain other banks dont have the Feature.

According to reserve bank of India (RBI), a notifications had been issued for the bank clerks in order to include the system of pension in their respective banks. In pension scheme every month an equal is contributed by you and the bank.It will be contributed till at the age of the retirement. However this rule is applicable only to the government bank but not the private sector banks. It's upto the private banks whether they want to introduce the pension scheme or not. However many private banks also started the pension scheme. Sooner or later, RBI will issue an notification regarding private sector for pension scheme.

Re: Whether pension scheme is there for Bank Clerk Employees?

    Hi,

I would like to let you know that as per RBI(Reserve Bank of India), it is mentioned that the notification for pension scheme has already been issued to banks, to get include the pension scheme in their respective banks for the bank clerks. Its a good scheme because once the person will get retired, they will get the pension for each month to live their life.

In this scheme, each month some amount of the salary of the employee get submit to his pension account and the same amount will be contributed by employer also to the employee account. In some other words we can say that It is equally contributed by both employee and their employer(bank). This same process will go till the age of the retirement of the employee.

If you are working in government bank, then you will get the benefit of the pension scheme. But if you are in private sector bank then its your luck, if your bank has opted the pension scheme for their employee, then you will be able to get pension account.Although many private banks has already started the pension scheme.

Might be later on RBI will issue an notification for pension scheme to all the sectors either government or private.

    Sorry friend,

There is NO PENSION SCHEMES available for the banking employees.
Not only bank employees the all government and private jobs not having pension scheme.
The government of india cancelled the pension schemes many years back
The employees of banks are offered for high salaries instead of pension.

So,there is no pensions available for any government sector jobs.
