    Hello,

You have asked a really good question.Yes ,as an employer subordinate to your boss, you should maintain a limit.I will suggest you to make it clear through your words and gesture that you have respect for her as she holds a senior position to you.Maintain a distance regarding being too frank. But that doesnot mean that you have to appear stiff or unfriendly. Its better always to keep a smile on your face. That will make things seem normal for not only you,but also that lady.Dont stretch things to personal level. This tips will surely help you I believe!

    Hi.............,

Its good that your boss is friendly with you all.
It brings a group effort and boost the behavior.

    Remember---->
    * Do not create too personal touch to a female boss.
    * You should more emphasize on your job and work only.
    * Maintain a social gap with boss as needed.
    * This does not mean that be unfriendly with boss.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You need to be very careful in such situations.
I will suggest you to take this decision yourself.
You might talk to your boss in a friendly manner, can even go for lunch with her but only if other's are also going along with both of you.
You can wish her Good morning when you meet her in the morning.
But if she asks you to come and meet her at night for whatever reasons, then put down the demand in a polite manner.
Tell her that you can discuss the matter tomorrow in the office.
You need to take such decisions yourself.
Think 5 times before you take such decisions.

    Bye!

    Hello !!

yes you are right, in professional business you must try to keep friendly behaviour with all the people whether they are your colleague or your boss.
so when it come to the female and then a female boss than it is quite complex.
although she is your boss but dont forget she is a female and it is very difficult to keep a friendly relation with female till she want it to be friendly.

so as an employee and as a male you must be in your limit of your behaviour irrespective of what her behaviour is to you. ok???
so,do what she says.sometime just behave with her like friend and not as an employee.

and always try to keep in your mind that she is your boss.

hope i am clear to you.
    thanks for posting in EALP.

    Dear Aspirant,

The relation what you want to develop between you & your present boss depends upon both of you. But,to my mind,it would be better to deserve yourself as a under employee & let she be a boss. You should be obedient to complete your official duty. You should possess all the qualities of a good employee.Because here both of you are not colleagues. You should see what assignments pertaining to official works have been given to you.You should complete it in time.

If you try to develop more friendship with your boss,I don't think it will be good for your carrier & future.

So be a sincere employee & prospect your future.

    Thanks & good luck.

    Ashok..
