    When will I be eligible for Employee Pension Scheme?

    I have been working in a government office as a clerk. I have been working from past 10 years. I want to have some details on Employee pension scheme. What do we mean by this? This element is there in my salary. Am I eligible for this the moment I joined the work or is after some years of experience I am eligible for the same?

    Employee pension scheme is the scheme under the Employee Provident fund which gives pension to an employee who contribute under the scheme. The minimum contributory period for getting pension is 10 years. An employee who contributes to the employees pension fund will get the pension when he attain the age of 58 years. The amount of pension is decided on the number of years contributed to the pension fund. As per the provident fund act employer has to contribute 13.61 % of salary of the employee. From that 8.33% has to be remitted to the Employees Pension scheme.

    The calculation of the monthly pension is as follows

    Monthly members pension = Pensionable salary into Pensionable service divided by 70

    hello sir this is very common and differ that the pension of an employee is calculated on these steps-minimum ten years services in particular way-it is offered when the age of an employee get ride to 58 years.-13percent of the sellary is being count as pension.the sellary of employees make difference between pensions plan and amount.- it is obtained from your providential funds.an employee can get more one pension at same time if he/ she served in different company or government department.but the eligibility and rules should be complete to claim the pension.thanks
