Re: What type of consequence president or prime minister has to face if they are held under investigation?

Well the consequences depends upon the type of crime they have committed. There are different kinds of crimes as described by the federal court of India, crime of murder is decisive and it could led anyone to imprisonment even if it is the president or the prime minister. There are other kinds of crime which are minor and as we see in India political leaders get off such crimes easily and most of the times such crimes are not detected. If anyone is found defaulting the rights of humanity the indian penal court takes up the case seriously equally with citizens as well as any political leaders. The constitution of India has framed the impeachment of any government officials starting from the president to whatever least designation available if found guilty and majority of both the houses agrees. Therefore the consequences are of the same for all the citizens of India if found guilty and declared by the Indian Penal Court.
