    What steps should be taken against employees giving fake documents during their recruitment?

    I am a manager of a small private firm. Recently in an audit,it was found that two of the employees had submitted fake documents during their recruitment. But they are excellent in their performance. What steps can be taken against them for doing such type of fraud with the company?

    Hi aspirant

    Such employees who indulge in such illegal things should defuinitely be punished . It doesn't matter whether they are good performers or not, they should have some moral responsibility too and should definitely be made to realise their mistake. You should definitely teach them a lesson so that they never repeat such a thing in future otherwise it will set a bad example for the other employees too. You should definitely not be lenient with them.

    You should call such miscreants to your office and tell them that during the audit you have found out that the documents submitted by them during the joining were fake and now you are really very angry with them for cheating the company in such a way. They have been excellent in their work but this doesn't give them the right to cheat anyone and to indulge in sucjh illegal things. They will definitely be punished and then only they will realise the gravity of their mistake.

    You can terminate them from their services if you want to. But in case you can't do that atleast demote them or lower their saslary. Or you can even ask them to pay a heavy compensation. This will certainly serve them right.

    They may be excellent in their performance,but they had committed a big crime by providing fraud documents.Just because they are good performers you cannot ignore the fact that they have prepared fake documents and have submitted them to you during recruitment.They must be punished for what they have done.If police comes to know about what they have done,then they will be sent to prison! What ever be their performance,you cannot allow these cheat people to work in your company.They must be terminated.If you dont terminate them,then it will show that you support them for the forgery they have committed!

    Hi,

    This is a breach of contract entered into between the employer and employee...remember one thing, if they are good worker , they will not submit forge certificate....There is a demand for good candidate....
    Then why they will submit forge documents...Issue show cause noitice to them immediately and ask for the reason why you will not issue Show Cause Notice to them....
    If required, sack them immediately...other wise you don't know what other harms they will do with the company in future who has done for their own...
