    What should I do if I get threat from the manager to leave the job?

    I am working in a private sector company from past 1 year. There has been no complaint regarding my performance till now and I have also got performance award for last year. From past 2 weeks my manager is threatening to leave this job otherwise he will block my pf account. He wants one of his cousins to join my position. I donít want to leave this job. What should I do? Please suggest.

    No body can threat you in this way. Company has the right to fire an employee if they are not satisfied with his/her performance. In your case, there is no such issue. In fact company is happy with your performance. Company has no problem with you, nor dissatisfied with your work, it is the manager who is the culprit! He has planned it in such a way, so that he can tell the management that you have decided to leave the job, and he will take his own cousin in your post. But let me tell you, he can do no harm to you. He can do nothing regarding your PF. At the most he can harass you, but by no means he can block your PF account. He is simply trying to black mail you, so that he can do everything according to his plan. I will suggest you to complain about him immediately to the management authorities, so that stern action can be taken against him.

    Secondly,you should see the level & power of the related manager.If he is whole & sole of the company,he can do any thing as he wants.If he is also an employee,then he can not do any more harm to you.He may only give poor performance appraisal report,for that also he should have proof for negligence & carelessness in your duty.So if he is an employee,meet the manager HR/managing Director/General manager/Chairman & report the matter to them.

    Dear friend Manager can not do anything under illegal way. You are getting threat from the manager to leave the company.Though you have the good performance record within the company , you have also got skilled certificate.You Manager's intention you should leave the job then Manager will recruit his cousin.This is not possible as you area good employee there is no case against that can bound you to leave the job.Here Manager is not the owner or employer.,So that after taking appropriate proof about the Managers' threat to you,you can lodge complain against the Manager to the senior lebel, producing all documents.

    You must mention That You are a qualified employee, you have the passion to do job here, as you think your future will be brighter here then other companies.You also
    mention that your Manager is compelling you to leave the company without reason.

    Sir, do something for me, I am under helpless condition so far my knowledge goes, my Manager will recruit his cousin if I willingly submit resignation.

    Hi friend,

    First of all do not worry because you gained this job because of your hard work.

    There is not need for you to get afraid of your manager.

    If there is any superior officer in your office, complaint to him about the behavior of your manager.

    Tell him what he has said to you.

    If you do not face the situation right now then it may happen to you in your next company too.

    So do not fear and be strong.

    If you do not take any action against him he would be threatening you until you leave that job so take chances and prove yourself.

    Hi,
    As he is manager of the company, and he want that you leave the company for his cousins, from this 1 thing is clear and that is "You are very hard-working" employee. So as per my suggestion just change the job and start search for new job.
    Because if you don't leave the company, your manager try some new ways on you and he start his duty mind.
    Also you can write one polite mail to your manager, that this is not fair at all, but still you want same then i am ready to leave the company.

    Hello Aspirant,

    It is not good to hear.You should not afraid for this,because you have good working record.Your manager can not stop your pf account,because it is controlled by the central govt.

    You should see the the power of the manager.But I don't think your manager is a owner of the company.If he is owner,he may harm you,otherwise when he is also an employee,he can not do any thing to you.In such case,you should report the matter to the manager HR & head of the company.There may be action against the manager & you may be safe.You should explain whole thing rightly.

    Since you have good working record,your case will be taken seriously & you will be supported since you are in right place.

    my suggestion is to you is that we all have to face these types of mistake in our life so what you have to do is that go to the room of your manager and talk to him/her that sir you know that i am the most good and hard working person in our office so my request is to you that please sir don't take fired to me because if i will fired then i have to suffered from a big finical problem so at last please don't ask me to take my resignation.

    Well, This is not the sort of behaviour one would expect from a manager. A manager is someone who knows the strength and weakness of his employees as well as his duties very well. It is rather unfortunate that he gives priority to nepotism at work place. These days there is no room for honesty and hardwork at workplace. I can understand your point of view well. Your manager has no right to block your PF account.This is illegal and against company policy. You should report this incident to the higher authorities immediately and request them to take necessary steps against your manager.


    If situation gets worse then you should consider taking legal steps against your manager. I do hope this will work.

    It is very sad to hear to problem that your boss is threatening you to leave this job otherwise he would block your pf,it is very disappointing as well.
    As you have got performance award for last year so your manager should encourage you so that you can perform well and get the same next year but here the story is something else he wants you to leave the company,this is very rude and inhumane behavior.he is seeing his profits only he doesn't care for the betterment of the company,i think he should be fired.

    First you should go to him talk to him respectfully and politely and try to know the reason why he wants you to leave the job even your performance is very good.
    if he doesn't understand then you should complain to the higher authority against his attitude and threatening,i think he can't block your pf account without any reasons for this he should have solid reasons which he doesn't has, so you don't need to worry at all and without any fear you complain to the hr or chairman of the company and request him to take some action against the manger.

    Dear this is really worse to know that your manager is threatening to you leave the job as soon as possible because he want that his cousin replace you on that position and he get the job at your place that is why he is too rude with you because he is not thinking about personal and relations and he has the profit if he give your job to another relating candidate so you should not worry and go back when you was joined in this job and remember all those things which were promised to you before getting appointed in the company and surely you will find out some stipulations and agreements on this job because no company gives job without any agreement and if you have got the copy of that agreement then you should read that carefully and know that what are the rules in case of termination of any employee from the job and you will find no reason relating your matter because manager directly threatening you so this is not acceptable

    You should go to your manager first and request them to no fire you from the job because you need to survive with your family but you should make your mind to leave this job because in future you will definitely be fired that is why you should demand some time from your manager and demand for at least 2 months to give you to find a new good job in this duration so may be that your manager give you at least 2 months then you should accept and try to get a new job and possibly contact to your friends and other relatives who are in business so may be that you get the job and also demand for the experience certificate and I am sure that your boss will give you experience certificate because he is forcing you to leave the job so he will have to understand your situation

    If your boss does not give you two months to find out a new job then you should not worry and go to the court and file a case against your boss that he is forcing you to leave the job and appointing a relative on my place and also mention that you are the only member in your family who is in job and everyone's survival depends on you so how your boss can do this with you when you do not have enough time to find out a new job and this is difficult to get a good job at this time when your boss is not understanding you and file in case that you want at least 6 months to find a new job and leave the company and also demand that you want experience certificate and other allowances from the company so surely the decision of court will be in your favor and you will get approval to work in that company for 6 more months and then you should find out any good job peacefully and join that
