    What should I do if employees asks for leave on regional festivals?

    I am a boss of a particular branch of a multinational company. Recently one of the regional festivals is coming. As a consequence most of the employees are demanding leave on that day. However,there is no such provision from the companyís side. What should I do in this circumstances?

    Hi,
    You can speak to your people about how important this festival is for them and convince them about their responsibility for the job.
    If it's very important for them then you can allow them to go for leave but you can insist for a short duration leave and also tell them that they have to work hard after coming back and compensate for the lost time.
    Don't make anyone angry as they will not give their best in that case.

    Hello,

    There is a saying in english "At Rome we must do as the Romans do". Flexibility is the name of the
    game. All multinational companies follow it and there is no reason for you not to follow this golden
    rule. You have to change your strategy on different region as India as great regional diversity. You
    should consult your higher authorites regarding the issue and see wheather they can give you any
    positive response or not. But should take this decision very very carefully.

    Hi
    In the whole country, leave is been provided to the employees on the religious festival that happens at times, therefore as being a good manager, you should give them the adequate amount of holidays.
    Because its a tradition in all of the companies to provide holidays during the festive season, but if there's any very very important project going on, then you should call up a meeting and tell your employees about the problem and then you can cancel the holidays and focus on your work.

    BEING A BOSS YOU NEED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF YOUR EMPLOYEES, BECASUE IF THEY ARE HAPPY AND SATISFY WITH COMPANY THEN THEY WILL WORK MORE PROPERLY. IN THIS WAY IF YOU GIVE LEAVE FOR ONE DAY THEN THEY GIVE PERFORMANCE IN THE COMPANY IN HAPPY MOOD. OTHERWISE THEY WILL BE DURING THE WORKING THEY CANNOT WORK GOOD AND TRY TO DELAY SOME IMPORTANT COMPANY WORK SO YOU CAN GIVE ALLOWED LEAVE ON REGIONAL FESTIVAL.

    Well if employees want leaves on regional festivels then you have to talk with them about the importance of the festival for them.if you finds that it is very important then give them leave.but you should tell them that they should come back quickly and after back they should work hard and compensate the lost work.after getting leave they will be happy and will work hard surely.thank you
