What should I do to bring equality at my workplace?

I have joined newly in a Middle level company. Few of my colleagues are close to the manager. So manager gives them advantage to come late to office and leave early. Most of the time they are hanging up outside. But other employees are struggling in their work. I want equality in work. what should i do?

The manager does not own the company there is a higher authority which means you are not helpless. Demand for your rights to the manager, if he is not responsive then you have other options too..
Other employees might be favoured by the manager and they might be given lesser works but if you let the higher authority know about this then things won't be the same again. You should inquire the higher authority for any possibility of a special right for the employees to work according to their convenience, this will alarm them, you can explain further how the manager treats the employees differently.
If you do that the higher authority will deal with the manager. Such practices should not be ignored, it exists in many companies because the manager is vested with the power to look after the company and the higher authority(owner) leaves the company as it is in the hands of the manager if they do not receive any complaints. So i suggest you to make your move soon, its not for you alone but also for your co-workers and the company itself.

    Hi aspirant

You are certainly fighting for a good cause and hopefully you will succeed in it and get justice. Ofcourse a manager should not be partial to some of his employees and try to maintain equality among all his employees. If he shows prejudice towards a few employees and give them extra facilties , then of course the others are bound to get annoyed. Plus as those employees are hardly doing any work which will also affect the performance of the company. Thus he should atleast think about his company and not be lenient with them at all.

Now to bring equality in your workplace the best you can go is talk to your manager. Dont be afraid to talk to him. Speak politely and explain him that how some employees are taking unnecessary advantage of their closeness to him and just hanging out for most of the time inspite of giving the best to their work. Also they are not following the proper timings and doing as they please. This is affecting the company's performance. While the rest of the employees are struggling due to the strictness towards them. So you request him to please maintain equality among all the employees so that the company can progress.

I am sure he will see reason in your words and hopefully implement the. Try your best and Good luck friend

    hii,
well this is serious problem. so you should know this that manager is not the highest authority in any company you still have a fair chance to stop all this advantages over other colleagues.
even you can go and talk to your manager too. just be subtle and respectful. explain him everything how these things are happening . i am sure he will understand your problem

    Goodluck

    Hey!
It is sad to know that the manager of your company is showing such display of irresponsible behaviour. I am sure that this kind of conduct of the manager must be discouraging at your workplace. You must be facing an issue concentrating on your work and hence your efficiency must be decreasing. You need to raise your voice against such injustice that is being done to you.

Your manager should know that whatever he is doing is unfair to the new recruits. You should tell your manager that it is difficult for you to adjust in an environment where the most basic principle of work ethics is not being followed. You should report to your manager and mention that this kind of wor atmosphere is not good for the development of the organization. You should also mention that the new recruits will learn from the work culture of their seniors and if this is the kind of work culture that their seniors are following then the new recruits will not learn hardwork but things like buttering the manager.

You can mention the state of affairs through an email and communicate whatever you feel quoting certain exmaples. I am sure that your manager will look into the matter and ensure that a conducive environment is mainatined. All the best!

    Hello
This is a very common scenario seen in the work place.
This can be avoided if you can discuss this matter with your manager itself.
You can ask him about the issue and tell him that this creates an inequality in the workplace.
Everyone should be given the privilage to have a free time at work
and they should be given apreciation for work who is working very hard
    Thank you
