What should be done when you want your maternity leave just after 3 months of joining?

I am working in a private company. It has only been 3 months since I joined this company and now I am expecting my first baby. I want to avail my maternity leave as soon as possible but am nervous and afraid as this can mar my reputation. What is the right thing to do in such a situation?

What should be done when you want your maternity leave just after 3 months of Joining?

According to your state ment you are working in a pvt company since 3(three)months ago, now expecting your first baby. You want to avail your maternity leave as soon as possible but you are thinking nervous and afraid if your reputation is hampered.

In such a situation what is right? and what you are to do?

1.This situation is natural then here neither you nor company itself can find out any way to relieve you from afraid and nervousness.

2.As per rules you are entitle for maternity leave for 6 (six)months eg 180 days' in a life time period.

3.So, that you can take maternity leave for the coming first baby maximum 180 days' with full pay.

4.I think we are natural, then you need not worry or feel nervousness for the purpose and enjoy your due maternity leave with pay.

    Thank You,

    Hello Aspirant,

Need not worry & need not to be nervous as there is a provision of the maternity leave for a working women both in pvt.& govt. sectors. The rule is as per the Maternity Benefit Act 1961.As per the Act,you are entitle to take maternity leave for a period of 12 weeks in normal & in case you fell sick due to pregnancy, you will further be sanctioned for one more month leave.

You will get full pay for your maternity leave. In order to take leave, you are required to submit an application with medical certificate to your reporting boss. You can avail your medical leave one & half month prior to your expected date of delivery & the remaining 6 weeks after the date of delivery so that you can take care of the newly born baby & yourself. Then after,if you are required, you can further extend leave for another one month otherwise join duty with medical fitness certificate.

So need not worry & go ahead according to provision.

    Good luck.
