What should be done with a teacher who punishes the students in a very brutal manner?

I am the Principal of a government school. I have received many complaints from the students, against one of the teachers, who punishes them in a very brutal manner.I donít think this is good for the students as well as the reputation of our school. What action should be taken against such a teacher?

    dear guest,
punishing students in brutal manner is not only bad but also out of law.
according to law no one is allowed to punish students in either case and if one do the same then he is entitled for the hard punishment by the law.
so,in your school that teacher is certainly doing wrong.in this manner he is weakening the the confidence of students and also demoralizing the students.
so,in my view you should first warn that teacher not to do such type of activity and if he repeats his mistake then you should fire him if it is in your power and if not in your power then you should complain to higher authority or file a report to police.
    thank you!!!
