    What should be basic criteria considered while selecting profile for a particular position or job?

    I am working as an HR in a consultancy. We recruit employees for various clients. This is my first job. I have got this position for executive salesman. I got lots of profiles. They are looking for freshers or 6 months experience in same field. What should be the basic criteria considered while selecting profiles for a particular position or job? Please advise.

    Dear aspirant. . . . . . . . . .while selecting profile for a particular position or job you must check out whether you are at correct position for your pursued academics. .you must concentrate on basic pay also. . . . . . See to that you are fit for the nature of the work and also on work timings. . .

    Here is the basic criteria are considered while selecting the profile for a particular job-
    Candidate should be more than 18 years
    Candidate should have qualification (as per post) from the recognised university
    Candidate should have good communication skill
    Candidate should have good physical standard
    Candidate should have wishes to work on our organisation
    Candidate should have self confidence, leadership quality and good personality.

    Dear Aspirant,

    In order to decide the right person for the right post,you must consider the age,qualification & experience.

    For example,if you are assigned duty to select a executive salesman,you should prefer the candidates with qualification in marketing management.

    The candidates should have communication skills & smart looking.

    Likewise you have to see for the respective field.See their basic qualification & experience.

    Hi..
    You should consider the resumes of the employees in totality. You can keep in mind the following:
    1. Please make sure that you consider the skils mentioned in the resume and see if the skills possessed by the candidate match your nature of job.
    2. Any prior industrial training while studying in college can also help you distinguish a candidate.
    3. Social service can also be a distingushing factor.
    4. You can also get a fair idea from th eobjective mentioned by the candidate.

    Hi,

    In my point of view,you should first look at the academic qualifications of that person.
    Since you need a person for the post of Executive Salesman,you need to also look at the co-curricular activities in which a candidate has participated in!
    I'm saying so because being in Sales Department,you need to be active and should have the power of changing the mind of others.

    It doesn't matter whether the candidate is a fresher or he has some experience.
    The thing that matters is that he should have all these qualities!
