    What should be the age of employment as per law?

    I am a sociology students and stay in one of Mumbai chawl. We have garments factory near our house. I see children of 14-15 years working in that factory. Is it legal to keep these children for work? What should be the age of employment as per law?

    Dear, asker according to the law no child can be forced to work until and unless he is attain the age of fourteen years.But above these we can see that many of the children who have not attain this age are still working in many hotels,brothles, tea-stall etc. If one of us see this pls inform to the child welfare department after all it is the violation of the law.

    As per the child labour ( abolition and prohibition) Act, 1986 the Indian government has banned to employee a child below the age of 14 to employ in any factory shop or establishment. This act also guaranties free and well education for child below the age of 14 years. The main cause for the child labour is poverty and awareness. If you see any of the child below the age of 14 year you have to directly report to the labour officer in your area. OR you can call the toll free number 1098 immediately.

    according to constitution of india age of employment is minimum 14 years.
    and any peson more than 18 years are eligible to do govt. jobs.
    and below 14 year it is considered as child labour and it is banned in alover india

    the age of the employment as per law is 16 years.

    below 16 years employment is crime.

    so avoid the below 16 years age employees in the company as per law.

    the main purpose of child labour is poverty and awareness..

    it is illegal that a child work in any organisation because it is the rule of the government of the india that no child will be forced to work in any factor or in the industry . the law of our india is said that if any child below 14 years and working in the organisation then you will directly repot in the police station and the police will take the necessary on this problem because it is totally illegal to work a child below 14 years . now what you have to do is that if you will think that the child is under 14 years then go to your nearest police station and file a report against the particular factory in charge.

    all the people providing employment to children of this age group or smaller are doing a crime. and are also punished by police when complaints of such type of childlabour is done. friend you should not employe the children for work . childerns below 14 are not eligible of work not mentally and not physical .providing them employment is a serious crime.

    Well, if their age is between 14-15 years then they can work there. In this regard it is worthwhile to recollect the following act for the benefit of our siscussion,

    The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act of 1986: The Act prohibits the employment of children below the age of 14 years in hazardous occupations identified in a list by the law.

    The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) of Children Act of 2000: This law made it a crime, punishable with a prison term, for anyone to procure or employ a child in any hazardous employment or in bondage.

    You have to know whether the age of the childre working in the garment factory is below 14 years or not. If the answer is yes, then the garment factory has no right to employe child labour. You have to report this incident to the concerned authority and they will take leagl action against the factory. There are many laws in India but when it comes to implementation the administration lacks the moral courage to take actions.

    Law can not determine the age of employment.It is known to all employment age differ institution to institution, sometimes it is changed by the decision taken by the respective board.I can give yo some example as far as age in employment is concerned. UPSC CIVIL SERVICES General: 21-30, SBI PO: 21-30, IBPS PO: General: 20-30 years, after that there relaxations for R category.So, friend all are legal, age eligibility is fixed by the commission/board/or any company.

    Only there is restriction to prevent child labour not to work up to the age of 14, though this rule is not applicable
    due to the non availability of proof .Many more child are working begging in and around the country.

    Only Govt.department follow this rule intoto, rests may or may not follow intoto.Because this is not possible
    till today.

    The children who are working below the age of 14 years are considered as a child labour.
    the children below 14 years are not eligible for work.
    the government has banned the children below 14 years of age.if you find any child labour ,call to toll free number 1098 and inform the area,and the place where the children are working.

    It is completely illegal to keep the children below 14 for work.
    As per the child labour act,1986 the government has banned to employee a child below the age of 14 to employ to employ in any working place such as factory,tea stalls,cinema halls and other places.
    The person who is making these group of child to work is doing a crime and he should be punished as this is not the age for them to do such type of work,this is the age for them to study gain practical knowledge,they are not physically as well mentally prepared for this.
    instead we should encourge them to go to school rather than to work in factories and tea stalls.
