What is the ratio between turnover and offered salary to the employees?

I work with a manufacturing firm. Can I analyze the yearly turn over of the company by calculating the employees salary amount. What is the ratio between them? Is there any particular calculation for that?

There is huge difference between turn over money and offered salary.for example let me explain a situation.consider there is an constructional work of lump amount five laks .if person one is given with a money of two laks by person two for buying commodities like sand stone etc .and after the project is over person two pays fifty thousand to person one for completing the work :-)here two laks is turn over money and fifty thousand is offered salary. Hope you under stand.

i don't think there is any particular calculation for the turnover of any company.....but u can get the approximate figure by finding out the total wages and salary for the year and divide it by the total sales turnover......u can easily get the information of total wages from the company website or you can directly ask the menber of your company.

    Hi friend
Generaly a company or a bussiness firm want to increse it's turnover.
*And the most important thing is this that any company's turnover decide the selary of the employees.
*Generaly the ratio between selary and turnover is 1:3 .
*E.g. A company have a client in the retail take away food industry who always trys to work to 30% cost of goods
and 30% wages, and another in the desine to industry who tries to keep to25% wages/turnover ratio.
Just wondering what others do. Thought it might be useful for new businesses to have an idea of what percentage of their turnover they should be spending on things like marketing, wages, etc.
So we can say independly that turnover is deciding the selaries of employee.
    Thankyou

    Hi,

::The Ratio of Organizations Turnover & an Individual Employee Salary lies between 2:10::

::Yup every organization calculates & fixes the Salary of individual employee by 20% of yearly Turnover::

:!:The Following are some ways to Calculate the Turnover of an Organization:!:

::No of Employees leaves the Organization for the year::

-If 10 out of 50 Employees leaves the Organization then 10/50=0.2, then the Organization Turnover is 2% for the year-

    ::Total Cost of Employee separation::

::Cost of Hiring New Employees to replace the Employees leaved the Organization::
