    What is the minimum degree considered to appoint a receptionist in a company of 1000 Employees?

    I am working as an HR company in a Garment factory. I am located at the main head office. We have requirement for receptionist in our company. Here there over 1000 people working. I want to know what minimum qualification should be considered for this.

    Hi Friend,
    Graduation with good English & local language communication skills should be minimum requirement.
    If you want to be specific in graduation stream then commerce graduate will be preferable.
    Commerce graduate will have accounting knowledge so it can add value to the role and your company.
    If you get commerce graduate with good communication skills then the person can play receptionist cum accounting and administration role.

    Minimum Educational qualfications should be Graduation.
    A Short course in Computers can also be considered.

    Apart from the educational qualifications, candidates should have:
    Good Communications Skills
    Basic Compter Knowledge
    Pleasing Personality
    Should be able to handle all the incoming calls to the Reception Desk.
    Should be able to handle visitors courteously at the reception

    Hi friend,
    Minimum qualification for receptionist will be degree. If he he had bachelor degree in English that will be added advantage.

    Besides his academics, he must have patience which is required him for handling different types of people. He must know atleast three languages i.e. His native language, Hindi and English.

    He must have good communication skills. He must posses commanding voice. His words must be clear and understandable.

    1. A bachelor's degree or higher level

    2. B.A . English literature is given high importance

    3. Soft skills Certifications , personality development attended

    4. Excellent communication skills

    5. Ability to handle customers , visitors

    6. Perfect attitude & behavioural skills

    7. Knowledge in phone speaking to customers

    8. Experience in this field is a added advantage

    Dear friend,

    Generally recruitment of a receptionist do not demand a more than of Graduation degree.

    Still if you want to be more specific you can prefer the candidate who have either BA(English) or BCom .
    As a receptionist one should be good at computers so sometimes recruiters also demand for a certificate in computer by a candidate.

    Basically job profile of a receptionist is more of skills based not of the qualification one, these skills are -

    Exceptionally well communication skills.
    Typing skills.
    Smart and energetic.
    Degree of patience should be higher.

    so for reseptionist you have basic things like

    she atlest completed her graduation.

    if she had experience regarding this is benificial

    good communication skill

    A skilled and efficient receptionist is always required in any company because many customers meet him/her first for the services. Now it had become trend in many companies that females are considered best and conviniant for the role of receptionist, so you may also follow the same. As per educational qualification is concerned graduation from an recognised university would be main criteria for the selection. And also he/she must be good in Hindi, english and local language. While taking interview, you must also test his/her communication skills and patience level as it's considered important for this job.

    Hello sir,

    The minimum qualification for a receptionist is B.A with English
    or any degree with good fluency in english and local language also.
    Some type of companies also intake the +2 qualified students with good speaking skills.
