Home town means-from the town you are recruited/completed born and brought up your school life college life etc.

All india ltc is provided by psu pvt companies to their employee for traveling purpose under a 4 year block.an employee is eligible to avail this leave travel concession with his/her family dependents.

And companies also allow to take home town ltc and such tour is available under a 2 years block.

    Thank you,

    Hi,

when you gave papers related to your permanent address in your form to the Central Govt. office, that city/town/village is known as hometown and all india LTC covers all other locations including the islands.

    For example:
If you belong to mysore and you are posted at delhi. Then once in two years you get allowance for going to mysore. the all india ltc is valid for 4years and it lapses then.

But sometimes Govt has some schemes like you can go to Kashmir / Leh ladakh / Andaman islands instead of going to Hometown.

It is beneficial to those who leave in the same state as of their hometown.
