To what extent a government employee is not fired or terminated?

Everybody says that if a candidate gets a job in public sector or a government sector then his/her career is safe and he will grow in his/her respective field. I wanted to know that if a candidate has done mistakes in hi/her career then what will be the ratio of termination by the government organisation then a private one?

Hello,There will be certain level of tolerance in almost every kind of jobs..If a person has done mistakes with his knowing then it can be forgived once or twice..If if he or she regularly committs the same mistake even after knowing it then the board may discuss this issue as a serious one and take actions upon him..Either he have to pay for the losses or may be terminated from the job..Thank you..
