What to do when my parentís advice regarding my career is not matching with my views?

I am working in a government organisation. Now I want to change my job as I have got a very good offer from a private company. But my parents think that my present job is better for my good future. I am really confused as mine and their views are clashing. What to do in such a situation?

    hi friend
friend ,you should consult to your family members and to your friends and colleague . they will give you there views and analyze the your view and then make a conclusion. also analysis the short term and long term benefits and keeping in mind your career growth. friend according to me,, government job provide job security but not the opportunity to develop and execute new ideas , which are completely possible in private company but the issue of job security is not there .

    Hello Friend,

Before, you take any final decision let me tell something. Goverment jobs in these days are very difficult to get. It is the most sought after job in India for job security, safety and good pay package (after 6th pay commission). Many people would do anything to get a job in a goverment sector. So, you should think twice before leaving your current job.

For many private companies is a great place o work. But job security in private sector is very volatile. during the recession time many people loose their jobs. Your parents have good reason to worry about. This is your career and your life. Nobody can force you to do anything without your consent so you should think carefully before taking any decision. Best of luck.

    Bye,

You are working in a government organisation.Government organisation is the most secured one then the private organisation. If you have joined that private organisation if they feel that your work is not impressive.then they will remove you from the job.so,don't leave the present government job what you are doing. It is good for your future.
    all the best
    thank you
