What to do if problem arises with colleague?

I have recently joined a company. I am facing a problem with one of my colleague. He often assigns his tasks to me. As a result my work load increases as I have to do my work as well as the work of him. He said that it is no use to complain about him to higher authority as he is more experienced than me. So what shall I do now? Shall I complain to higher authority?

    Hi buddy

Your colleague has no right to assign his work to you and you certainly should not withstand such injustice. Instead of reporting this matter to the higher authorities you first go and have a word with your colleague. Tell him what you feel and dont be afraid just because he is more experienced than you. Tell him that you are being overburdened as you have to do both your tasks as well as his. Tell him straightforwardly that you are not going to do any of his tasks in future and he should be doing them on his own without your help.

I am sure he will feel ashamed of himself by treating you in such a way and hopefully will accept his mistake. Lets hope he never repeats such a thing again. But if he doesnt improve and still bosses you around, then you certainly should go to the higher authorities and complain against him. Dont be afraid. They will surely help you.

Good luck friend. Take action. God Bless

    Hello,

Your first and foremost task is to avoid that person as much as possible. Then the risk of taking the responsibility of his work will be less. You need to keep some proof that he has been putting the burden of his work on you. Then you can approach to your higher authority with such complain. If you dont have enough sufficient proof people will not believe in your words.

    Dear aspirant,
if any problem occurs with the colleague then better to blame it as your mistake and make him realize his mistake with your good behavior.always try to hold your nerves when there is a situation with no fault of yours.your attitude should tell what you are.so have a good positive attitude and always have a smile in your face.

    Thank u

    Hi friend,
Hope you are in good health and good state of mind!
It's always a treat and fun to answer your queries.
I also appreciate the confidence that you have shown in us!

See,each and every employee is assigned a responsibility and task that he should complete on his own.
If he's forcing you to do his work, then he's doing wrong thing.
This can cause stress within you and it might lead to fall in your performance.
It doesn't matter if he is senior to you,it is his duty to his work on his own.
He won't share his salary with you, isn't it! Then there is no point doing the work of others forcefully.
I will suggest you to contact you manager and tell him about this.
Tell him that your performance is taking a hit due to such incidents.
I'm sure that the manager will take the suitable steps to combat this situation!
    Don't worry!
    Everything's gonna be fine!

I hope I have answered all your doubts.
It was a pleasure answering your queries.
Hope that you'll come up with some more challenging queries!
    Till then,take care.
    Bye!
