    What to do with an employee who is threatening to defame the company if we fire him from his job?

    I am the manager of a private company. One of our employees, even after all the warnings , hasnít shown any improvement in his performance and his carefree behaviour. Now he is threatening us that he will defame our company if we fire him from his job. What action should be taken against such an employee?

    Dear Aspirant,
    It is very bad to listen to such news.It seems the concerned employee seems not fully normal.It is not the version of a normal man.In order to bring him to the main object,issue him a written memo with a strict instruction to submit his reply within 7 days after receipt of the memo.If he commits his such version in writing,warn him not to use such version otherwise an FIR against using such black mailing version will be lodged & If he continues the same thing,you can lodge the matter to the police administration,besides terminating him from the service.You should give the notice for the same thing in advance before coming to such decision.

    Hope the concerned employee will request to apologize you & will start working well.

    Hello,

    It's very unfortunate that you have to face such situation. There are some people in our society
    who don't believe in change. Change is the only constant in our life. You have given several warning
    to that fellow and now he is plotting to defame the company. You can fire him any time on the basis
    of moral and disciplinary grounds. If he wants to dafame the company then you should always consider
    taking legal actions against him at any time.

    People like him should not be tolerated at all.
