    What disciplinary action can be taken against unpunctual employees?

    We have our office timing from morning 9 to evening 6. Most of the time the employees come to office at around 9:30 or 10 clock in the morning and they donít extend the lost hours. We have been informing them about this but there are no changes happening. Please tell me what should we do? What disciplinary action should be taken against the employees who are always late to office?

    Dear friend,

    It is very common problem.First of all issue a notice in this regard & give a warning that if still any of employee is found late ,the discipilinary action will be taken against the employee concerned.If they are found late,mark it in his attendence.For 3 days late,there will be one day casuel leave.Like this you can bring them to the right time.The notice must be seen & signed by all the employees.

    Hi,


    All employees are expected to maintain 9 hours of work

    Failure to do so affects company revenue and name

    Attendance should be made absent for the day if 9 hours of work is not maintained

    In such case no employees will be able to come late and leave early

    If the leave limit exceeds , then it will lead to loss of pay which affects the employee

    Also whoever comes late should be warned and terminated

    Atleast if anyone is punished , others will not do this

    Hello

    Seems like you have have a swipe in and out system in your office. That would make it compulsory for them to be on time .

    If they are late regularly then just send a mail to them saying apply for a half day leave as you are late by this much minute.

    After that also if they dont follow the rules just deduct their money and force them to apply for leaves . You have the power so you should utilize it.

    Hi Friend,
    HR policy needs to be stringent regarding employees attendance.Please introduce Attendance Management System and make it a rule that employees so enter in or out time.
    If employee does not come office on time please ask them to apply half day leave.

    Once you will have processes in place and if you communicate same to employees you will see changes in them.

    As they are not punctual in the office that too regularly you should first issue

    A verbal warning if it doesn't effects

    Than you can inquire about it by giving them show cause notice under which they have to give you the reason

    You can also deduct there salaries depending upon your companies norms

    You can also suspend them for some period without pay depending upon your companies rules

    Or finally you can dismiss them from the job

    Hello,

    This problem is a very common problem in the corporate world.

    To handle this problem you have to take some action.

    You should make a compulsory rule to be on time without any delay.

    Make a strict rule of deducting a leave if employees are late.

    ask them to apply for half day leave.

    If any employee is getting late for some genuine reason then ask them to stay back for late or come early to work next day to compensate the lost hour.

    Hi

    its very common problem of a commpany.

    For this make some strict rule for that.

    like make rule who will be late for 2days then you will cut his one day salary.

    or when employee get late cut small amount of money from their salary.

    or half day rule.

    then everyone come early or on the time.

    try this this will help you a lot.

    If you are not punctual , then you may get a warning letter from your manager. It may be harmful if you still continue doing the same mistake again. Some times it happens that they may deduct few allowances from your salary .If they are late regularly then just send a mail to them saying apply for a half day leave as you are late by this much minute.

    Firstly give everyone a warning to be on time otherwise half day salary would be deducted. Indiscipline action of employees gives bad impression to the customers about the company. In company, you may introduce Fingerprint Electronic Attendance, where time of every employees arrival and deparature can be noted and it also act as any proof. If you have attendance register, then close the same at sharp at 9 a.m, so that employees start being punctual. I think doing above would definately solve the problem, even after repetitive warning if any employee doesn't obey the order, then the termination would be last action.

    Hello Friend,
    under some critical circumstance or incase of emergency if you get late to reach the company then it's fine,however if you make it a habit these are the actions they may take against you.
    1-they will give you warning letters.
    2-after 3-4 warning letters they will take strict actions like decreasing your variable pay.
    3-cutting shift allowance for that month(if there is any).
    4-if you still continue to do the same mistake they may take HR action against you(like fine or termination)

    hello..

    it is common problem for every employee in the any organization...

    so put a strict rule for this like

    if you have 2 lates put a loss of pay and cut the salary

    if you keep repeat like this

    they will send a warning letter to you

    after 3 warning they will simply send you out of company means designation

    so you could make the same mistake

    First thing that you should do in such cases is that send a detailed notice to all employees on their email about the Office timings and office reporting timings.
    Say you office starts at 9:00 Am than all employees should be asked to report to office at 8:45 AM and also mention timings for the lunch and snacks breaks
    Also put this notice on the Notice boad of the office

    Also get this notice signed by all employees after they read it.

    Disciplinary action that you can take are:
    >> Warning letter to all employees who reports to office late for 2 days
    >> After warning letter if they still not improve deduct half day leave for all the days that they report late to office

    You do this and they will start reporting to office on time
