The only difference between CID and CBI is
==>CID is Crime Investigation department it's work area is under a state in india.
the high court with in a state can handle a Suspicious case to CID

==> where CBI is Central Bureau of Investigation is an national body and can be operated at National level
Supreme court can handle most suspicious cases to CBI

to get in CBI --the entrance exam is CGPE(Combined graduate preliminary exam) conducted by SSC board
to get in CID -- you have to write Criminology exam.

    CID means:Criminal Investigative department..
    CBI: Central Bureau of Investigation
Thats a very good thinking, at first you have to complete your Bachalor degree, then Join Indian Police, You have to reach the position of SP, then you may apply for CID/CBI.. You may also join the CBI as reporter or as Spy for sting operation....

    Dear,
asker crime investigation department(cid) is a branch of police department of any indian state. Only the police and authorised person can join this branch. They have special duty to perform like kidnapping, drug inspection and many other inside things which belongs to that particular state.
    Cbi(central bureau of investigation)
it is a part of indian government it was established on 1st april 1963.it "s headquarter is in new delhi(india).the agencies has futher divided in the sheven sub-offices which is located in all the metropolitan cities of india.the cbi is controlled and managed by the union government of india. In short we can say that cbi is the interpolof india like every country have its own interpole agencies
to become a member of cbi and cid one should have completed his graduaton in any discipline.

CID stands for criminal investigation department of police which is usually works for state govt to investigate a case in secret manner where CBI stands for central bureau of investigation which is a central department comes under central govt..

You can join both the service through various exams and the most common exam is CIVIL SERVICE which is conducted by UPSC every year

You can also join CBI through common graduate exam organised by SSC

    Hello friend........

As we know that CID refers to Criminal Investigation Department. And it is state level organisation for Crime Investigations.
Where as CBI is Central Bureau of Investigation. It is National level organisation for crime investigations.
Prestegious cases and internationally involved cases are under taken by CBI.
First of all you have to persue a Bachelor degree to join the one of these organisations.
Then attempt CPGE for joining CBI.
For joining CID you have to attempt to Criminology exam.

Serving for nation refers to serving your mother..........Be sincere in any job you undertaken then you can serve you nation in indirect way ...........
