    What criteria should be maintained while choosing the best performer?

    I am the manager of a private firm. I have been newly promoted to this post. Previous I was the assistant manager. Our fiir has a provision of tagging an employee as best performer of the month and giving some incentives and it is chosen by the manager. What criteria should be maintained while choosing the best performer?

    first of all you should get this that there should be no eligibility criteria set for the colleouges on the basis of the educational percentage, but rather you should emphasize on their overall personality of working in the firm. Then you should analyse that what are the respective qualities of the people who are working with you and then you should finally decide your team plan

    You can follow these criteria:

    -->> employee who is sincere and punctual.

    -->> Who completes the task in time.

    -->> Who has a good etticate and behaviour.

    -->> Who is flexible with others work and having the extra factor.


    But keep in mind that you give this to the deserving employee and be fair with your decision.

    According to me the present performance of an employee, from the past one month, should be the criteria for choosing the best performer as that will definitely give you an idea that how the employee is going to perform in the future and in this way only the deserving employee will get the tag. So you should definitely judge the performance of the past one month for choosing the person who deserve to get this tag according to you.

    If an employee has been performing well in the past but has somehow gone down in his performance from the past month, then you can't certainly tell where he will be heading when he gets this tag. As he has not been able to improve his performance from the past one month, so he might not be able to do justice with his post when he gets the tag as he hasn't shown his caliber in the recent past.

    On the other hand the employee who was performing not that well in the past but has drastically shown improvement from the past 1 month is more likely the candidate for getting this opportunity as he has shown that he can overcome his shortcomings and thus deal with any kind of hard circumstances in life. He certainly has shown his caliber and the zeal to do better in the recent past and in my opinion is a better choice for getting the best performer of the month.

    But of course there maybe some of the candidates who have been performing well since the beginning till date without any decline in their performance and they surely are the best contenders for getting this tag at this time. So friend I think you should give this award based on the employee's performance in the recent past and thus should give the tag only to the one who deserves the most without any bias whatsoever.

    I hope you get my point and thus will make the right choice. I hope justice is done to all.

    Hello,While selecting the best performer firstly give preference for the hard workers and those who are regular to the job..Consider the fact of smart work also..Dont entertaint any kind of recommendations..Just compare the available workers or employees and their work efficiency..You will definitely find the best one when you compare with each other..Best of luck..
