What is the correct way of sending a thank you later after an interview?

After an interview if I want to send a thank you letter to the interviewer then what is the correct format for it. Should I send it by email or write a letter or make a telephone call? I also want to know about the correct time frame of sending a thank you note.

Dear if you want to send a thank you message to the interviewer then you may directly send them a written or typed thank you letter but you must have confirmed the proper address where you wanna send because thank you letter must be opened and read by the original person and if you are going to use phone call for this then you should not do it because it would not be fair work because you have got the job and you would receive an appointment letter so that you also should send it through the paper and if you are going to use Email ID mode then also it is good and you can send the thank you message to the interviewer in your own words by using Email service

    All the best

    Hey!
First of all I appreciate this gesture of yours that you want to send your interviewer a 'Thank you note' after the interview. There are very few people who have this kind of mindset. I feel that it is your thoughtfulness that distinguishes you from the rest of the crowd. You should use the written mode of communication to send a thank you. A letter might take a long time to be delivered. An email comes to your rescue when your aim is to save time.

You should be formal and polite in your tone while writing the body of the email. You should first mention on what date and where was your interview conducted. You can also mention what post you had applied for. This is to ensure that your inyterviewer gets reminded of you. You can mention how the questions that he asked you helped you to delve deeper into yourself and analyze yourself as a person. Keep the email short and simple.

You can add some incident in the email relating to the interview that will remind your interviewer of you. It might be possible that the interviewer had interviewed many candidates at that time and hence doesn't remember you through your name but the incident that you quote can help him recollect. You can use words such as 'gratitude' that can make the interviewer realize that he really helped you grow as a person.

    All the best!

    Hi friend

It is a very good thought on your part to send a Thank you letter to your interviewer thus thanking him for providing you a good opportunity for your future. you should definitely do this as it will be a very sweet gesture from your side . You should do it in the proper way and leave no stone unturned. do it whole heartedly and I am very sure he will be having a big smile on his face when he receives your letter. Write a formal letter and don't make any errors as that will look very bad on your part.

Now I think it will be best if you send him a hand written letter through mail. That will certainly show the effort you have invested in preparing this letter and will be of much more value than the e-mail or telephone. You can also send a card instead of a letter if you want. Now if you are preparing a letter, write it in a proper format and as I said before , don't make any spelling or grammatical errors. But the problem with such a letter is that the interviewer may not remember you so you should write something along with your thank you letter that he remebers you instantly.

As for the time frame- I think you should send this letter to him as early as possible- if possible- through courier or speed post so that it reaches him at the earliest without any delays. The sooner it reaches him the more he will value it as he will tend to remember you more. But if you cannot think of anything that will make him remember you then its better if you talk to him on the phone as then there is more probability of him remembering you.

So now I have given you my opinion and now the choice is yours. Good luck. Thanks
