What is a better option for an engineer from an excellent college: a start up or a handsome salaried job?

I just completed my engineering from one of the best colleges in the country. I have a campus placement with a reputed company. However I wish to start up my own business and target the student community in the city. Can I get help to analyze both the business and the job aspect? Please give me a complete perspective.

Dear friend, as you completed your btech from one of best college in the country and you are get recruited from the campus placement from your college and you want to startup your own business as well with your job. Dear, from my opinion if you are belong to a rich family then you should go to startup your own business and if you belong to a middle class family then I think you should opt your job which is good for you and if you want to become a businessman then after serving 10-15 years in your job save the money for your business after that you can startup the business. Best of Luck.

First of all runnig a business requires 24 hours of a day, because you will be owner so for each and every thing you will be the sole responsible person. You are the one who will have to manage all the things. So at any time you would be needed for managing the things in your business so with your job this will be really difficult, you cannot leave things on others to manage things for you without your eye on them. Also for running a business you should know your market and must be able to apply things accordingly for which it is better that you have a little experience with you. This will help you in gaining confidence in your self and thus take appropriate decisions.

As you have a job right now you should try to work for say 3-4 years atleast and with it you can design a plan for you business. After gaining a considerable experience and a well setted plan you will be more sure about your business and things will be much easier for you. Meanwhile you can also create a network of people for yourself who can be useful for you in your business.

    Hi
As an engineer, a start up is the most essential thing. And it is a fact that if you're not an IITian, you won't get a handsome salary in your start up. Therefore it is essential for you to get a Gud start up, try to learn new things, practical things to be more precise and thereafter gaining some experience in a particular industry then you can switch the company and then you can also be rewarded a handsome salary
    Gud luck
