    What background verification has to be done while hiring the candidates newly?

    I am working as an executive in the HR department. My work includes background verification of the employees who are newly joined to the company. This work I am doing for the first time. What background verification I have to do about this new employee? How should I start that? Should I verify about his family, School and colleges and previous work experience? Please suggest.

    Hi,
    Background verification means you have to probe in to details which he/she mentioned during interview.
    If the candidate is a fresher you have to ask them first copies of all marks sheets and then at the time of joining ask him/her to original certificates for verification. By doing this you asses his/her academics. This is enogh for fresher.

    If candidate is experienced besodes their academics verification as mentioned above you have to verify his experience letter. Salary slips for few months.Most important thing you have to do is ask them their PAN number with that you can get their financial transactions. You can easily filter out who is fake or who is genuine by the PAN Number.

    Hi. I think firstly you should check the family background of the employee.

    Then you can verify what all he mentioned in the interview about his previous grades, marksheets, any extra course he has undertaken.

    Also do keep a check on his school and college background.

    Try to verify if he has a criminal background by making use of a private detective.

    If he is experienced and not a fresher do a background check on his previous jobs and why he left them.Also to see the various transactions he made you can take his PAN card no.

    hello sirthis is very important question and also every recruiter think it.if you are going to recruit new candidate then you should check these details-all educational certificates-experience certificate by contacting past boss of the employee.-family background (as he/she is involved in any criminal case or not?)-should be check all domicile certificates like voter id,driving license, pan card etc.-behavior of candidate by analysing the communications and behavior at interview time.if you check all these information then you have no any fault so be a good recruiter....thanks
