What actions should be taken with an engineer for misbehaving with our client and letting the project go from our hand?

I run an enterprise and the name of my enterprise is Siddharth Engineering and Construction. At first the client complained that the engineer I had sent to assist the building of their house was misbehaving with them. But the engineer accused the client for lying. It went on for some days and it was getting so odd that client's wife went into nervous breakdown. Client stopped the job and asked me to punish the engineer or he will file a case against him to give him punitive damages for leading her wife to such serious condition. What action should I take against him as simple firing would not fit for him?

    Hello Aspirant,

It is a matter of enquiry to take action, because the blame & charges don't seem correct. So in order to know the fact, appoint some senior official as a enquiry office & ask him to submit a report on the charges made by the client. The report should be submitted within one week in details as to how the dispute started, what was the reason, when the dispute was started, why it was not reported earlier, who started first & all.

Depending upon the detail report, you should decide what to do with your engineer. If he is culprit, you can ask to meet the compensation to the client & excuse him giving the warning & warn him not to report in future. If the client is found culprit, you may charge for compensation as of disturbing you.

So see the situation & decide further.

    Good luck.

    Hello Friend,

Well, don't do anything right now. First you should set up an enqury team who will look into the matter seriously and find out the real culprit. Based on information on both the parties it is impossible to judge the person responsible for the unfortunate event. You should also order then to make the enquey fair and impartial so that a clear picture can be obtained. Based on the enruey report you have the action. If the engineer is guilty then he should be sacked and if the client party is guilty then you should not hesitate to take legal action against them for lying to you.

What actions should be taken with an engineer for misbehaving with our client and letting the project go from your your firm.( Siddharth Engineering and Construction.)

Under the circumstances as a Chief of Siddhartha Engineering and Construction you first charge regarding his misbehaving and the clients complaints against him.The concerned Engineer will give reply getting charge sheet from you. Then you consider the client's complaint or Engineers' reply then you decide who is right and wrong.
It is true many times client's complaint is not right so you see the concerned engineer's performance if it is found engineers performance is always good only one complaint
is against him. Then as a Chief you must not take any kind of action against the concerned Engineer.Rather you should arrange a Training Program for the employees
    to give better customer services.

If you arrange such a Training Program where newer will get Training how to behave with the customer also the importance of better customer service. A customer is
always right,if he/she argues with the employees of the Firm.If you take such initiative only then your employee will be able to give well and good services,Though
the Training program is cost effective, this cost is nothing to a established construction engineering.Gradually such program will enhance your firm's goodwill and will
be able to fetch more order more money for the health of the Firm as well as employee.

    Thank You,

    Dear,
It is a matter of serious concern, you have to get into it to find any kind of solution, in order to maintain your firms reputation.
To find any answer of this query,it will be better that you may appoint some senior or a group of person who will look up to the matter and frame a report on behalf of the investigation they made.

The member of the committee should individually submit their report and on the basis of their opinion you should take some decision.
Finally the person who is at fault will automatically come out.

    Hope the answer satisfies you.

    Hi,

First of all, every professional should know how to behave well with the clients as clients are our masters and we need to give respect to them. At times if they go wrong, then instead of misbehaving with them, we should react in a very professional manner.

Henceforth, first delve deep into this serious matter and try to know the truth. Then if your employee is the real culprit for the grave situation of the client, then you need to take some legal action against him. However, if you find the client playing the blame game, then you need to have a similar approach towards him as well.

    Thanks.

Dear sir behavior of the employees is really important for the future of the company and good reputation in the market and if officers are dealing good with clients and clients has no complain regarding behavior of your executives and officers working the company then clients will give good feedback about the company but just against it if any officer misbehaved with clients or say something that makes them serious then understand company is going to the downfall soon because where no respect for the clients then who will come to give opportunity of service that is why understand this fact and take this matter seriously

If client is waring to file a case against that engineer then you should understand that he is right and one more thing that should be remembered is that you should talk to both of those client and employees face to face and listen to them carefully that what they argument in front of you then you will get the fact and if engineers comes wrong and client is victim then you should talk to the client that what do you want him in punishment then may be that client suggest you but do not fire that engineer because that is not proper solution of anything

Just in front of the client you should say to that engineer that you have lost the payment of your further 3 months and you will work without any payment and then only you will be allowed to work in the company and if you want to resign then you can but we are unable to provide you any experience certificate or relieving letter from our side that is why he will understand and also instruct that engineer to say sorry and be apologized in front of the wife of that client then only you should forgive him otherwise not

    All the best
