    What action should be taken against an employee who is the cause of a fight between some of the employees?

    I am the manager of a private firm. It has come to my notice that one of our employees was the major reason for a fight between some of the others as he mislead them. This is not the right kind of behaviour and he must certainly be punished for this. What action should be taken against such an employee?

    dear guest,
    your saying is cent percent correct that he has not done the good thing by making a fight between two employees and also he must be punished.
    but as i think this time you should only warn him so that he can get a chance to realize that he has done something wrong.
    you should only warn him that if he would do in future such kind of activity then he may be fired.
    i think he will not do such kind of activity after listening such type of threatening words.
    and if he will repeat his mistake then take serious action against him.

    As you are a manager then you need to think that whatever happening in the workplace should be in a good manner because if anything went wrong then you will be responsible for the same as per the directors and your boss.
    So it will be better for you to call all those employees for the meeting who are involved in the fight , because if they are not get treated for the same then it will happen again in the company then you need to find a new job to save your *** so never allows any of the employees to these things again in the company.
    First of all call the person who mislead the employees to fight with each other and ask him what was the reson behind the same if he says in a good manner then its ok, but if he not respond then you need to take the strict action against that employee along with the warning letter and apology letter.
    After treating him call the other two person who are involved in the fight and ask them the reason for the fight.
    Well fighting reasons are never appropriate but you need to see that whether the reason was appropriate or not, so that you can also compare the reasons given by the first person with the reasons of the other two persons for the fight.
    After that you need to take actions against the person who is very much involved in all these.

    Dear Aspirant,

    Yes,It is totally possible to do so,because some person is very much interested in making quarrel between two members.In order to find the truth,Appoint a enquiry officer to enquire the matter & get it enquired
    with the same enquiry officer.Get a report against the related person with a recommendation to take action against him.Now you can report the matter to the still higher authority for necessary action,preferably transfer.You should mention in your recommendation letter that " If he is not transferred,it would be very difficult to get works from others,because the environment has been spoiled.

    This way he may be transferred to some other place.
