Unprofessional behaviour while on official trip

I am working as an office secretary for the last 5 years. Recently, I had been asked to travel abroad with other management people. They used to make fun of my monotonous work profile. Couple of times, I have mocked upon for being company owners mouthpiece. How should I address this issue without spoiling the terms?

If you are satisfied with your own work, then give a damn to what others have to say about it.Ignore these words. When ever you find any of them talking about these just give a smile and dont answer to them.If you dont give them importance they will stop accordingly. These people want to disturb your work mentality and your peace. That is why, they have passed such comments.Simply ignore them.Be happy with your work and work sincerely.Dont pay any heed to these disturbing elements. In case you have to talk to them, agree with them in what ever they say by nodding your head. The only mantra is listen with one ear,and forget the next moment.

    Good luck

    Hey!
First of all you should not feel bad about such a situation where the other employees are talking wrong about you because it clearly tells that they want to let you down. Also if they are commenting about you then this definitely means that you have done your work very sincerely from the past five years. It is a part of the corporate world to try and pull the other person down. You should remain unmoved about their words because if you let them bother you then you have made them successful in whatever they wanted.

At the same time it is important to make your point of view clear to the rest of the employees by telling them that you are absolutely fine with the nature of your job and hence have continued with it for the past 5 years. You can also cite your achievements during the last 5 years and say that had it not been for your sincerity and hardwork this wouldn't have been possible. Maintain your self confidence while talking to them. Incase you are very shy and do not feel comfortable talking to them then you can resort to sending an email. But a verbal communication is always preferred.

You need to stand up for yourself in such situations and not yield to the fact that people are trying to pull you down. It is by your choice that you are continuing with the job from the past 5 years and hence you are satisfied with the nature of your jib and the experience that you are getting. I hope that the others learn to respect you and your dignity of work is maintained. All the best!

    hello guest !!

if you really think that you are monotonous than you really need too change yourself because you are working in a group of 100s of people and your monotonous behaviour will not liked by anyone.so try to change yourself.

but instead of this they only think that you are monotonous than try to find out that, why they think you in such way.??

this also siginfy that they expect you in the way in which you are not in present it means they thinks of you.
and this is a good news for you that everyone cares about you.

so dont take it negative as it is positive sign for you to change yourself and proove that you are not monotonous instead of talking it to someone.

hope you got what i try to say.
