    Unprofessional attitude of Secretary

My secretary forgets to brief the senior officials about minutes of the meetings. I have told her many times but she commits the same blunder. I want to sound stern to her but I also donít want to get into the league of exploiting boss. Please help me.

    Dear Friend!

it makes is extremely difficult for anyone to work hi her now as a team because she doesn't place any record on system hence the only way for you to find out if we have received those documentations is to ask her directly. A really mature thin to do right is to talk to her.Set an example and show her that you are prepared to deal with the issue and speak with her openly, not follow her footsteps and have to cold war.I dunno, set a meeting , speak behind closed doors etc.. be brave/professional and get her to tell you what it is about you that she is no happy about, I'd explore this avenue before getting mgr involved.

    Hey!
Your plight is understandable as such situations become difficult to handle. You should begin by calling your secretary and mentioning to her that you expect a lot more sincerity from her than what she has been showing. You should also tell her that she a lot of potential in her as an employee. This will make her feel that she should attend to her duty with utmost attention. This will serve a dual purpose for you. You will not only tell her that you want her to improve but at the same time you will also boost her confidence level. She will feel that she needs to live upto your expectations.

Incase you do not see any improvement in her seriousness towards work then you should very firmly talk to her regarding her duties. There is a difference between exploiting an employee and being straightforward with an employee. You should be firm and maintain your calm. Your tone should be such that it convinces your secretary that she cannot afford to not take you seriously at this time. In my opinion all this should definitely help her become dedicated towards her work.

You should monitor her performance for a month and if she still fails to improve her attitude towards work then you should tell her that she doesn't deserve the post that she is at. She is not doing justice to her work. You should tell her very clearly that you tried your best to spark a fire in her so that she could improvise but since she hasn't shown any improvement you are terminating her services. You can give her a notice of one month and then terminate her services.

    All the best!

    Hi aspirant

You should certainly not let your secretary get away with the mistakes she is committing and certainly make her see her faults and improve upon them. If she continues to do such mistakes then it will be bad for the reputation of the company and you should make her understand this. Of course you need not scold her and be an exploiting boss, rather you should make her understand this in a proper manner without resorting to any scolding or reprimanding.

You should talk to her politely and persuade her in such a way that she doesnt repeat this mistake in future. Tell her that she always forgets to brief the seniior officials on the minutes of the meetings which is really very bad for the company's and your reputation so she should try to remember it . She should write it somewhere in the dairy or feed it as a reminder in her phone. But she should not forget it.

I hope that your secretary understands the reason behind your talk and improves upon her shortcomings. Otherwisew its better you remove her from the job and appoint someone else.

    Good luck

    Hi
If she is new to the work then it is likly to make some mistakes.
You cannot find a perfect employee who doesnot commit any mistakes.
If you want her to work well then discuss with her regarding this matter.
Ask her what the problem is.
Discuss with her how she can carry out her work well
    Give her some guidance.
    Try to motivate her.
    This will help you

    Thank you
