    Unnecessary questioning by boss if I ask for leave

    I work in a small company. Even after giving a reason as to why I need a leave my boss unnecessary questions me. It makes me feel that he is trying to delve deeper into my personal life. I do not like this kind of attitude. How do I tell this to my boss?

    You should certainly not let your boss take undue advantage of your good nature and not let him delve deeper into your personal life as that is none of his business. He has no right to interfere in someone's personal life and on top of that if you have your leaves left from among those provided by the company then he should accept your request and thus not harass you in such a manner.

    You should go and talk to him and not beafraid of losing your reputation or job. Dont hesitate to talk to him as that is the only solution to your problem.Go to his office and speak to him face to face . Tell him that you are really uncomfortable speaking about your personal life and thus dont want to speak about it to anyone. Also tell him that you have given your reason as to why you want this leave, so your boss should respect you for that and thus sanction your leave . Also you have many leaves left from your quota provided by the company and thus you are not asking for anything unnecessary.

    I hope your boss gets what you are hinting at and stops pestering you in the future. But if he doesnt mend his ways you go and complain against him to your higher authorities. They will certainly take care of him . Then you should not worry at all.

    You don't need to worry about this if your boss ask you this type of unnecessary question inspite of given a reason in written for leave. Please don't hesitate and talk him face to face tell him I have given the reason in written even why you are asking delve deeper into my personal life despite of you don't have any personal life reason to take leave. Even your boss is harassing you then go to your highet authorities comapny's HR Or concern person and complain against him. Surely they will take any action against him.

    Hi,

    Every employee in the office gets a fix number of leaves.
    They can avail these leaves as and when they need to.
    The Boss cannot question as to why you are taking this leave.
    Tell your Boss to kindly allow you to take the leave and stop getting into personal matters of your life.
    In fact,if he continues to do so,he's actually harassing you.
    Request him to stop doing such things as you are getting disturbed by such acts.

    Suggestions----->
    * Every boss is not employee oriented.
    * You can not argue with your boss.
    * You can not ask for any such thing forcefully.
    * Thus you need to obey him.
    * If you need a urgent leave you need to write a letter to him.
    * Letter must have sufficient reason for leave.
    * Provide letter to HR .
    * Maintain a good reputation in company.

    Dear Aspirant,

    You should think that you have been given appointment for sake of the company first & then to yourself.There are provisions to take different kinds of leave in order to utilise it in need,but you can not claim it as a matter of right to take leave even without in need.

    Of course your boss has no right to interfere in your personal matter.Whenever you are required to take leave,you can write it in your leave letter as it is my family problem,personal problem etc.If your boss still insists you to disclose it deeper,you can say that you are not supposed to say each & every thing to with regard to your persoanl/family problems.Also you can say that you will be held responsibe for any thing happening in leave period.

    Hope you boss will realise & won't ask much question for leave.

    By controlling everything that an employee does, these managers OR BOSS sap away the confidence of younger employees, who may end up feeling that nothing they can do is right. Older employees may get frustrated if they find their style of working and ideas are not welcome.Old habits die hard, so watch out for your tendency to check in every so often.These are the reason which makes unnecessary questioning by YOUR boss if u ask for leave....

    Boss will be asking the personal issues and after giving the reasons also he makes them.. This is nothing but he wants to know the personal life of your.. Don't tell anything as your privacy is destroyed when you tell him he will always ask each time and make stupid comments on your life and free suggestion of no use... So if your boss is good you can tell otherwise no... You repeatedly tell him that you have some problem that is not to shared keep on insisting it and don't make long conversions with him move out from his cabin..
