Unable to refuse my client who wants me save him from punishment but am in a great dilemma now

I am a lawyer by profession. Just few days one of my clients came to my office and told me that he wanted me to save him from punishment as he has made some criminal offence. That time I told him not to worry but now I am in a great dilemma because never in my career, I have used false means to win a case. Here also I want to stand by the truth. What to do in such a situation?

    Hello,

If your heart says to help him then you should help him and you should not hesitate. But
you does not feel comfortable then you should take the task. Juts politely say to your client
that you will not be able to take the task. This would be the best possible answer to the
    situation.

    Bye,

    Dear Sir,

I thank you for your honesty and for standing by truth, and appreciate your willingness to deal with it in a positive way. Now a days there are very few lawyers like you who respect their values and profession.

It is very worth appreciating that being a lawyer, you have always stood by truth in your career and not used any false means to win case and gain popularity as well as money.

If any person has committed crime, he/she must be punished as per Constitution of India and Indian Laws. Otherwise, people will not respect the law and will commit more crime without being feared at all.

Also, if you support his case even after knowing the truth, even you will be committing a crime.

So, I request you not to be emotional or sympathetic to a criminal and respect your values.

You will be proud of yourself.

    All the best.
    Thank you.

Well the situation is critical as you said do not worry the situation, but as you said that you have not fought any case like this before so you should call your client and just tell him that this is a tough thing for you, just give him the phone number of any of the criminal lawyer who win the cases for money then you can be out of the situation and your client also get rid of all these. So you must do this, i am sure that it will work and your client also become happy for the same, but if you take that case and then loose the same then your client will be angry on you. So do this.
