Are there any norms in Australia that if we donít get a job we will be paid some amount from government every month?

My co-employee is resigning recently and going to Australia in some government scheme where until he gets a job the government will pay a fixed amount every month. Are there any such norms there for everyone? If yes please specify briefly.

    Hello,

No, it varies from scheme to schemes and also with the attitude of the Australian Goverment. If
your com-employees will be getting paid by the Goverment util he gets a job then there must be
a tie up between the goverment of Australia and other professional organization. You should contact
the Australian Embassy, New Delhi for furthar clarification regarding this scheme of the Australian
    Goverment.

    Bye,
