Teachers not able to maintain adequate amount of discipline

I am the Principal of a government school. I have come to know that there are some teachers in my school who are not able to maintain adequate discipline in their classrooms. I think this is not good for the school’s reputation. What action should I take in such a case?

Discipline is first and education comes next its a fact that if a student has discipline then is bound to get good studies and he will come up in life as well because whenever a student will follow a particular discipline then he/she will follow it regularly regarding studies, time management what to do to achieve success, all this comes under discipline.so students learn from the teachers how discipline is adopted in education. you have stated that some teachers are not adopting discipline in class rooms this will create negative impact on students when teacher behave like this then they cannot set example to students..so as head of the school you should warn the teachers about this give some strict instructions about maintaining the discipline in class rooms you cannot compromise on this matter..

    Dear Principal..

Yeah, it leads to bad impression... I Agree with you..

The one who is responsible to teach discipline are lack of it..!! This really requires an exclamation..

I suggest you to arrange counselling classes to all teachers, where they are supposed to know the importance of discipline and their responsibility...

It is a must thing for them to maintain rules and regulations being in a government organisation...

You have all the rights to warn them when you continue to see same kinda behaviour even after counselling.. It's their duty when they are being paid..!!

    ThanQ...

See before taking any actions you must first call a meeting of those teachers and must discuss the problems they are facing so that you can get a

clear picture. If their is any problem than you can solve them and thus can give another chance to the teachers. It can be also the problem of

inexperience of handling students due to which the teachers are not able to maintain the discipline. You can also take help from the senior teachers

in providing help in such situations. They can possibly provide some helpful suggestions that can help those teachers in dealing with the students.

Taking any sort of actions against teachers will not solve the problem.

You can also take a sudden inspection round to see further problems related to discipline and you yourself can go to the classrooms where you see

lack of indiscipline and thus can help the teachers in maintaining the discipline. By doing this the students will also have in their minds that you can

come any time and can give them punishments due to the fear of which they will remain in discipline.

    hello sir,
discipline is the foremost and the first thing that should be learn by a student to become a good citizen and every one should have discipline in the work they do and that will lead to your success.
you should give counseling to your teachers by calling them to a meeting and should maintain good interaction with them.
ask every teacher to say their opinion about how to maintain discipline in the surrounding atmosphere and how to develop the school and how to manage the school and how to get good fame to school.
as a principal you should be strict and should maintain a friendly nature to interact with them and know about the students performances.
    thank you................
