    Sufficient sales but manager still portraying poor image about sales graph

    The sales manager always cuts a sorry figure for sales. Even though we as sales team have accumulated good sales but still he lies about the same. Later, we are pulled up for the poor sales. Such a way is hampering our future performance. Please suggest a way.

    Hi aspirant

    Your sales manager is definitely doing the wrong thing and should be encouraging his sales team rather than giving false reports about their performance. This is bound to affect your future performance and I am sure you will definitely not be working whole-heartedly after such injustice done to you by your sales manager. He should present your report as you have performed and not forge it in this manner. This is certainly creating a bad impression of you on the higher authorities and is not good for your future.

    You should talk to your sales manager regarding this.Tell him that he is not doing the right thing by cutting a sorry figure for sales. You all have accumulated good sales and he is doing injustice to you by lying about the same. and due to this you are pulled up for poor sales later on leading to the hampering of your future performance. He should stop doing this and try only to present the true picture in front of the higher authorities otherwise you would be forced to report to them.

    I am sure your manager will feel ashamed of his behaviour and will never repeat such a thing again. All the best and Thanks

    This is a concerning issue since it will definitely affect your career as well as your future.However,there may be certain other aspects which is compelling the manager to show such type of graph.Hence,you all need to get through this matter deeply.It might happen that the sales are not coming up as per the company's expectation.It might happen that the sales is affected by the various free samples given to various delegates.The manager wants to take the sales to a great height.So,the manager is giving such a figure.

    -Sit for a discussion in this matter with your manager.
    -Express the views of you all.
    -Show him the sales graph as prepared by you all.
    -Get to know where you all are lacking in sales.
    -Ask the reasons for such graph of sales as prepared by the manager.
    -Get to know what are your mistakes and what the manager or the company expects.
    -Ask the steps for improvement.
    -Also explain the limitations that you all have if any.
    -Assure him of better sales in future.
