Steps against teacher involved in corporal punishment

I am a principal of a private school. Recently it has come to my notice that one of our teachers gets involved in corporal punishment to teachers and that too frequently. This can turn into a big issue in future. So what steps can be taken against the concerned teacher?

Corporation punishment has been a crime in the current act of India and Indian government has been announced that it will not be allowed in schools or colleges and many state governments has been banned this punishment in the all private and government school and if your teacher of school who was involved in this activity, found against the law then he may loose his job and may be charged for amerce so you should try to not open this matter in the public otherwise it may become a big issue in future and if that victim student share this with his parents then you should try to console his parents and request them to not open this and not go to the police station or child protection office otherwise it may effect the image of your school

If this matters does not opens to public then you should not fire that teacher but make him understand and warn that teacher that if he will do the same again in future then he may loose his job and authority will take legal action against this but you should not leave him with warning, you should cut down the salary of that teacher and cut for at least 15 days salary and do not pay if he request and if that child tell this matter to his parents then you will not be able to control his parents and you should terminate that teacher immediately from the service if you wants to save the reputation of your school but everything depends on the victim so try to make him understand first and give him some present and make him happy in the school

    All the best

    Dear Aspirant,

It is unfortunate to know such behaviour by a an literate person & that too by a teacher who has the topmost position in the human society. It indicates that the concerned teacher is not well known of the consequnces by the police administration & court.

You need not worry for this.If it happens in the school campus, then you may be held responsible for not preventing such incidents. So see the case.If it occurs before you & others, get a written complaint from the other teacher & issue a show- cause letter to the concerned teacher & ask to submit his reply within three days after receipt of the letter.

After receipt of the reply from the concerned teacher, issue a warning letter stating that if such incidents found in the campus of the school, the matter may be reported to senior officers & also to the police administration for necessary action. In such case you may either be transferred to some where which may not be convenient to you & the police may also take action against you.

Hope the incidents may not occur here after in the campus of the school.

    Thanks & good luck.
