    Steps against jealousy in professional work?

    I am the manager of a private company. While working here,I found that there is lot of feelings of jealousy in many workers. As a consequence,they are creating troubles in others work and disturbing the working environment. What steps can I take to reduce this jealousy?

    Dear Aspirant,

    It is a new situation to hear.Since all the workers are employees of the company,they should not have such feeling for individuals.All of them might be getting their own pay & facilities from the company,so why they are having feeling of jealousy for each other.

    In order to get the work progress,you should fix the responsibilities of each workers & the shift incharge should see that they carry out their resposibilities in due time & in case of failure,strict action may be taken against the concerned worker.

    Some of them may be recommended for transfer to other units for causing nonsense in the company.Good administration must be developed to work them well.There should be a strict notice to all of them that late arrival will not be execused.

Thus, basic reason is some sort of insecurity which must be resolved to maintain an amicable working environment in the organisation.
    As a manager you can help reduce all this by treating all employees equally rather than favouring some and giving responsibilities to each of them to show their worth. Assure your employees that their good work and dedication won't go unrewarded. You must promote open commnication in the workplce where all workers are given a chance to express themselves.
    This will help you reduce jealousy among your employees.

    This is a common but concerning problem because this can affect your company's smooth working and functioning difficult.As a manager you must try to take initiatives to solve this problem.There are various measures which you can take to atleast reduce this problem if not eradicate it completely.

    You have to take steps for solving the problem because you are the manager.

    You have to find out the issue of the problem and then you can conduct a meeting and convince all the members about the problem.

    It is very affective in the organisation.

    If the problem is not solved after that then you can take harder step to solve the problem.

    To prevent the feelings of jealousy amongst the employees you should conduct team meetings where you appreciate all the employees for the work that they ahve done in the past month. This will boost the morale of each and every employee. This will also bring them together. Your team can share what they feel about the other employees also in such meetings. Because it is wrong for a company as well as too for employees.You should not hide the facts that you want to adopt in office or where you do work.You should deliver message to employees regarding the issue on regular interval because minding this employees will not react so rudly.You should provide truth information to your team member .Jealouse is very worset thing for a company so try to remove it immediately it without any delay.You should call a meeting for removing from the office politely.Speak to employees politely to removing this unfair thing from official environment.I hope by conversation you will be able to got solution for it.all the best

    Jealousy can make you feel down about yourself.
    encourage them to work hard.
    try to understand their problem.

    Firstly I would like to mention that emotions like jealousy is very subjective.Keep in mind that the people who are working with you in the same company and showing such a jealous behavioural approach,they are all adults and grown ups.So is it possible for you to make them understand about this like we do to kids?The answer is no.

    The main reason is that there is hardly existance of any joint family in our society.So when they have grown up they have not learnt the essence of sharing,instead of being jealous.And the formation of their minds have been done in this way.So there is hardly you have can do as a senior manager.As a remedial measure I will suggest you to organise some programmes that would bring these people closer so that they can make some close connections within themselves.As well as start some yoga sessions within offices premises so that they get a chance to reduce their stress level as well as get a chance to come closer to each other.
