Some of the doctors in our hospital are very harsh on the poor patients

I am working as an intern in a government hospital. I have noticed that some of the doctors in our hospital are very harsh on the poor patients. When those patients ask them questions, they scold them and tell them to keep quiet. I really want to do something in this regard. How should I proceed?

    Hello...

Happy to see people like you who still care for others... I Appreciate you..!!

This is very unfair happening towards them.. Those doctors should be strictly warned who do not care for the patients...

After all it's their duty to serve and care for the patients when they are been paid..!!

Their uncivilised manners should be properly set..!!

You can make a note and submit to the higher officials with the proofs of patients who faced such doctors..!! Those proofs will help you a lot for the problem to be solved faster..!!

    Good luck..

    Hello Aspirant,

Thanks for good thinking for the poor patients.Your thought & aim are really appreciable. But it is rather difficult to improve the situations in the hospital.

Since you are in a internship, your senior doctors won't care your preach directly.I think there are some other colleagues with you.If so,discuss the issue with them.See their opinion. If they are with you, your aim will be easy to achieve. You may have some agreement among yourselves that if your management tries to harass you,all of you should jointly oppose for the same.If is so,ask the concerned senior doctor jointly not to behave rudely with those poor patients. If the concerned doctor accepts his mistake,it is alright otherwise warn him to report the matter jointly to the hospital superintendent, district magistrate, director of health directorate etc.

If you are alone, close your eye & do your work perfectly.Behave with all the patients well before the concerned senior doctor,he may amend himself, but don't ask directly anything to him, because you are not his boss.

    Good luck.

i think one man cannot change whole system as of now because its important that poverty is big challenge first and primary education is also a matter of concern.. its very much seen in most of the hospitals but we cannot really help it as there are many more poor people in our country.government should take steps to educate people in all aspects because poverty is killing people that is because of lack of education not only in studies but also it enables people to employment.. poverty is root cause of every thing and it can be wiped out from society by education in all fields.not only i science agriculture, employments etc by this people will earn money to satisfy their needs....

    hello,
in our society doctor is treated like gods and god is never harsh about their people,so please doctors dont be harsh against people.
if we see our recent trends as the population goes on increasing the hospitals are also increasing and the patients are also increasing and their by the diseases are also increasing, but doctors should not be harsh they should be humble and their duty is serving the poor and they should do their duty with more efficiently and effectively for a good future rather than behaving in a harsh manner.
    thank you..........

There is no solution of this type of doctors because most of the doctors shows their position and knowledge to the poor people but they do not know that there are so many better doctors available in the medical stream and you are from government hospital so they doctors have the pride to be a government servant that is why they are doing this and taking advantage of the ignorance of the poor and illiterate people and patients

If you really wants to help all them then you should try to complete your study as soon as possible and learn more as much as possible then you should not worry and just try to get the job in same hospital and if you fortunately get the job then you must serve all those people but if you could not get the job in that hospital then you must try to start your own business means your own clinic to help poor and your aim should be profitless and keep your thoughts clear to every single patient and try to help them at every stage means in case of money too then you will get so many blessings from them and they will pray for you for getting a brighter future and their blessings will be helpful for you in keeping a fearless career

So this is your duty that you help all them but do not say anything to those doctors because those doctors will not understand the language of right tongue that is why you should try to avoid the situation and see until you get your own clinic in that area

    All the best
