    Should I tell my boss about the grammar mistakes he makes while talking?

    Whenever my boss gives a presentation at office he makes many grammatical mistakes in the speech that everybody makes fun of him. Even when he is talking his grammar is not up to the mark. Is there a subtle way to tell him about this? Or should I just keep quiet?

    hello,
    well you must tell him in a subtle and respectful way for sure.
    -->leave a letter regarding this on the desk
    -->do not mention your name
    -->write it properly
    -->make sure you say things in a friendly and polite manner.
    i am sure he will understand this and will improve his english. you are doing great thing by telling him the truth. but there might be a situation that he knows about the flaws he has, and he must have been working on it. so be very careful on that node.
    Good luck

    Hi buddy

    If you really care about your boss so much and respect him that you can't stand anyone making fun of him, then you should certainly convey this to him so that he can improve upon his shortcomings and thus don't make such a mistake again. Ofcourse it will take him time to improve his grammar, but once he realises his weakness then atleasy he would be on his toes all the time and not let others make fun of him.

    You should go to your boss's cabin and tell him that you are here to tell him something in the capacity of his well wisher and thus hope he won't mind it. You have seen him making grammatical mistakes many times during his presentations and even when he talks to his employees. You hope that he tries to improve upon his grammatical errors so that his presentations come out to be more effective and thus he gets more appreciation for the hard work he is putting. There are some people who make fun of him , you can't name them ofcourse, and thus you want him to make them take notice of your capabilities. You just hope that he takes it in a positive way. You really look upto him and would only wish the best for him.

    I am sure your boss will understand you. Good luck

    Dear it is not funny about your manager but it is the time to make your image means keeping quite would not be good for the responsible employee of the company but if you directly go to them and tell them about their grammatical mistakes during the speech, then also it would not be so good for you but indirectly you can tell them about their mistakes and the ways of telling the fact indirectly are following as :

    1. Make a phone call to them but you should not do this, you should ask to your any relative or friend and call to the office when the manager comes and tell them about the complete situation and do not say anything wrong or do not many funny atmosphere when you call

    2. Write a letter but not in your handwriting, you should ask from your friend to write a letter related to the same problem and write that - Respected Sir : I am really sorry to say that everyone of the office makes your fun when you go for speech from the branch or company because you makes so many grammatical mistakes and errors in your speech that's why everybody laughs on you, and i am responsible for your company and responsible for you and respect you a lot and i may not see anybody laugh on you because of a little thing and if i did something wrong to inform you about this then please forgive me, You Well Wisher and say thanks in the last

    3. You also may go directly to the manager but only when, they respect you a lot and you should have enough idea about their behavior that they never mind anything but it is risky and tell them same whatever mentioned above in the point 2

    All the best

    Hey!
    I am glad to see that you are the kind of employee who did not join the gang of the other employees in making fun of your boss but you thought of making a change in his grammar and help him improve. I appreciate this thought of yours. There are very few people who stand apart from the crowd and believe in bringing a change and I feel that the organization that you are working with is priveleged to have you as one of those employees.

    The most subtle way to talk to your boss about this is through the written mode of communication because it might be embarrasing for your boss to talk about it with you face to face. You can either send an email where you can very politely mention that the grammatical mistakes that he makes during presentations in office need to be improved. You can also mention how this is affecting the kind of image that the other employees perceive of him but in a very subtle manner. Make sure that you do not mention any names of other employees.

    Also keep in mind that your boss should not feel even once that your tone is such that you want to let him down or something. You have to be extremely careful while choosing the words for your email. Your email can have a very positive impact on your boss if you take utmost care to see that your boss doesn't feel let down at all. I am sure that your boss will understand that it is a good will gesture yours and it is for his betterment only. This will definitely raise your image in the eyes of your boss. All the best!

    Hello there !!!

    first of let me tell you that telling the lion about his weakness mean putting your head in the lion's mouth and
    telling him not to close his mouth.
    by this i want to state that although the boss is making mistake but it don't mean that you will point out his mistake in front
    of all the employee.
    you can do one thing, just record the speech of your boss and ask him to listen it on his home and then ask him to ask
    you why did you gave this to him to listen.
    if the next day if he don't ask you anything then be assure that he got what you tried to say.
    but the next day if he asked was that, then it will be worthless to make him understand.

    hope i am clear to you.
    thanks for posting in EALP.

    never, you should never try to point mistakes of your boss because we all are human and people never feel good if you tell their mistakes. its better you keep quiet because if you tell his mistakes then boss will think that your feeling superior to him.
    your boss will learn by himself because boss will have some ego problem if you tell his mistakes and also he will not like suggestions to correct himself...
