Re: Should I speak in English or Hindi during interview when not so much fluent in English?

    Hi friend,
You can speak HINDI as well as ENGLISH in interviews because interviews is only held to see your body language, personality, confident.
If you are good in HINDI then ans. the queries in HINDI first and after you have use the some ENGLISH words.

If you are ans. in with confident, good manner, with out hagitation then after this you have seen that every one respect you.

When ever any one will disturbed in your ans. then you say HINDI is my MOTHER tongue and i have RIGHT to speak in any manner or any condition.
when ever you used this lines no one can disturbed in full session of your interview.

BUT one thing is important for you ENGLISH is UNIVERSAL language you should try to speak up.

Re: Should I speak in English or Hindi during interview when not so much fluent in English?

    hi friend,

as you have said that you have hesitation in speaking english but you are not poor at english, so i suggest you to speak in english as most of the companies do interview in english itself.

but coming to some of the central government organisations, they do provide you an option or writing and attending the interview in hindi or english.

So if its an govt organisation you have an option to make use of language hindi to attend an interview.

But if its an private organisation they you definitely have to speak english.

Make sure that you dont use the two languages while attending the interview because it would be a great disadvantage to you, as the interviewee may think that u are not fluent in english
    .

    tips to get confidence:-

    1. Do as many reharsal as you can.

    2. Practice before the mirror so that you can understand your body language and get some self confidence.

    3. Self confidence is the key to success.

keep in mind that no one is perfect in this world mistakes are common to all.

If you are good in subject then dont worry because most of the companies do make their employees learn some grammar and soft skills during training.

    thanking you.

Hi guest, English has become a prominent language in corporate sector. The language factor also depends on the kind of post you were applying for. If in a post where you to meet lot of people, then the interviewer will check your english language speaking ablity, so you must have to prepare for the same. Try to speak english in your dialy life, with your family, friends or you can practice infront of the mirror also. Don't hestitate, because it's the matter of your carrier. You have to speak english in order to be selected in the interview. Thanx

Re: Should I speak in English or Hindi during interview when not so much fluent in English?

    Dear friend,

It all depends upon the level of interview.

Before appearing for the interview, you might have filled the form for interview in which you must have been asked for choice of language.

If not, when the interviewers ask you in english, you must reply in English and if they ask you in hindi, you must reply in hindi.

If you are appearing for the interview of hindi language exam, you have to speak in hindi only but this type of exam is available for the employees only.

You need not worry. You prepare to speak in English fluently by doing regular practice, reading daily english news paper, grammer book and "Rapid English course book".

You should try to know the english word of the language you speak as you mother language.Practice to speak in english with your friends and near and dear one.

    Thanks and best of luck.

    Hello friend

If you are going for a interview for a it company or any other campus whether it be on campus or off campus one thing that they see is how good are your speaking skills.

Some people are very good in technical skills but lack in speaking skills for which they dont get a job. The interviewer will talk with you in english so you cant reply in hindi or your mother tongue . They will consider that as insult to them.

So instead of thinking whether you should answer in hindi or english why not try speaking english and work to improve your spoken skills.

Join institutions like confidence factory where they try to improve your english and stage fear. You will definitely feel the difference that much i can guarantee you.

If you want to improve yourself then try speaking in front of a mirror and reading english newspaper daily. Plus start talking in english with your friends that helps a lot

    HI,

English is the best option because it is understood by everyone.

Be confident and stay calm and cool.

Answer to the interviewer with full confidence.

Fluency does not matter much to the interviewer.

Its the confidence with what you tend to reply.

That's what matter most and that's how a positive impression is created.

    HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL!!!!!

Hi. I can understand your problem. I think you should practice speaking english starting from your home. Speak to your family, friends and relatives in English only and try avoiding any other language. If they are also not well versed with english then try speaking in front of the mirror. You will surely gain confidence in these ways and are sure to do better in your interviews.

In your interviews to create a good impression try to speak in english as much as possible and rest of the time you can speak in Hindi or your preffered language.

Knowledge is surely essential in passing the interview but so are your communication skills especially english speaking. At present english speaking is an essential part of each and every field and required everywhere.

So i hope you do as i have said. Best of luck for your future. Thanks

If English language is not mandatory there, you can give your interview in Hindi but if interviewer is asking you questions in English, it would be better you speak English. If you don't know how to speak, you can also take permission to answer in Hindi during your interview and give your best.

    Hi,

I would like to let you know that if you are going to give an interview in the government firm that you will get the option to give an interview in either English or Hindi. But if you are thinking to take the job in Private firms, then the English is the only option. You have to give an interview in that only. Sometimes if interviewer asked you anything in Hindi, then you can give the answer for that particular question in Hindi.

By the way I wanted to tell you that now a day English is the necessity. If you will get the job in gov sector, but in that also you will again face the problem at the time of promotion.

As you have mentioned that you have a seen some improvement in yourself, then definitely you are able to speak in English. Only you have to stop thinking that itís a ghost and you can not learn it.

To get the confidence, you can do the following:

    1. Daily read one article in front of the mirror.
    2. Read news paper.
    3. Daily write one page on any topic like badminton etc whatever you like in your words only and then read it.
    4. Try to tell about yourself, about your daily routine in front of the mirror.
    5. Talk to your friend in English only.

Just try to do it for some days, and see the change in yourself.

---> Read the english and hindi books understand the sentences.

---> Try to speak the learned things with others and rectify the mistakes immediately.

---> Practice infront of the mirror every night,

    Hello

I think you should be comfortable with the language you speak otherwise it will come across as forced and you will not be able to make a good impression on the interviewer..But as things stand today most of the interview people automatically expect you to speak good english but if you are not fluent in english or have hesitation in speaking then you certainly are at a disadvantage but you should not be disheartened and try to improve your english and have a good grasp of the language both in the written and verbal form..
Till then you speak in mixed language in your interviews so that then the interviewer will not have as much a problem with you as he would have had if you have spoken only in hindi..
I hope you get my point..Do your best..Good luck

    Hello Friend,

During interview you can use Hindi in between but remember hindi comes for rescue whenever you stop some where and dont get the proper word to express but dont use hindi frequently because as you are an Indian its expected that you are good in hindi so interviewer wants to know your fluency in the international language so speak in english.
for remove your hesitation start talking in english with your friends and discuss the expected interview questions such that you wont face problem while same question asked in the interview.
Read news paper daily aloud and watch cricket commentary you will start framing good constructive sentences in your mind and practice infrontof mirror to give shape to your body language when you conversate in english.
talk slow and small sentences it will help a lot while interview.

    Thank You.

Re: Should I speak in English or Hindi during interview when not so much fluent in English?

I think the main drawback or weakness about you is fear of facing people its not about your english language remove fear first be free to speak and know where are you going wrong and also the way of your pronunciation and usage of language... I suggest you to watch english movies and listen english songs also.. See how are they using the language.... When you have joined spoken english classes you have to read the material which they have given to you, read news paper and underline the difficult words and refer dictionary... Try to practice ,speak to your self in english you will not face any problem its only matter of time you will get fluent english.. All the best

    Hello

No, you cnnot talk in hindi in GD nor in PI

you have to speak in english

If you will speak in any language othr than english theyn you will be disqualified immediately

If you are weak in speaking english then join a good institution where they will make your communication skill strong.

They will improve your personality and body language due to which you will feel confident and you will not hesitate to speak in english during the interview

This will help you get through the interviews

    Thank you

At present interviews are taken in english only so, its better if you speak in english during the interview....
And as you have asked for good impression on the minds of interviewer good and fluent english is necessary..
One of the most important thing is that you must have good command over your subject ..
After that the communication skills comes so, to improve that starts practicing...
Because if you will not practice then simply joining the spoken course will not help you...
So, my suggestion is start practicing as much as you can........
