Should I remove my photograph from Resume or not?

I am searching a job these days and I have my photograph pasted on my Resume. Some people says I should remove it, but I think face value matters and employer can remember you through photograph. Suggest me.

Resume should contiain only your details like academics, and other qualifications.......

    Generally photos are not required

your application form should contain passport size photo with attestation

whereas it is not necessarily that your resume/cv should contain photo

    so remove it .......

If your searching for a job in IT sector, Placing photo does not make your resume to appear as professional. Normally resume must contain all your talents and potential to carry out the job. The company want to provide the work, only for that potential and skill. Appearance have the role only in interviews. When you are in direct interview, you must be good looking. And want to answer smartly. Place photo in resume only it is needed. It depend upon the job you are searching.

It depends on the situation which you are dealing.
If you send your resume for a company to invite you to the interview then you can
fix your photo and send it to their address or email as soft copy.
But if you are going for a direct interview then there is no need to affix your photo in your resume.
You need to prepare yourself before going to a interview.
Dress neatly and have your hair groomed.

I would like to inform you that the resume generally contain detailed information about your profile and personal details, including your work experience and your qualification. There is no need for photograph on resume. You can take the photographs along with you, if required.I suggest you to please do not paste any photographs on your resume.Yes, you are right face value matters, but when you will go for first time for interview, your name will be registered in their list and you do not have to worry about that concern. If they will find you suitable for that job, then they themselves ask for your photograph. So, according to me there is no need for photograph on your resume.

Hi guest, Since you are going in an company the Resume must be according to the prescribed manner or generally used manner. The photograph is not attached/sticked to the resume as it doesn't look better. In resume only your capabilities, qualifications, academic background are mentioned. The photograph on resume looks abbrupt. And the interviewer may reject you on this basis. Generally photograph are pasted in the application form to apply for the job. Hope you will correct your mistake. Thanx

Generally resumes contain only textual data like name contact and other academic details. No one attaches the photograph to the resume. You must only concentrate on the details like name, academic performance, hobbies, interest, projects undertaken and must avoid photographs or any kind of decoration of your resume. Keep it as simple as possible, do not complicate it with addition of photograph.

    Hi,

Resume plays an important role in getting job in any sector

Prepare your resume in well formatted manner

Put schooling details , Graduation details , Achievements , Certifications & Awards , Family details

Don't Prefix photograph in any part of the resume

It's not a standard to follow photograph in resume

It will create bad impression also photo image and direct image may vary it will lead to confusion only

Take 5 copies of resume whenever you go for an interview

Hello dear, it is good to have a photo in your resume as it will give some extra details about your personality.

But the photograph of your should be a good proffessional one with clean and clear .It should describe a lot about your personality.

But in some times it is wise to remove your photograph from your resume if you have any prior experience in that field of work. However photograph is not compulsory in a resume so use this in perfect interviews.

    hello friend,

As you said these words face value matters and employees can remember you by your face...its kinda funny to say that

there are few resumes format where you need to put your photo because its mandatory in those cases

but if you are going for any interview then never put your photo in resumes because only knowledge matters not the face value

no company is giving job by seeing your face...if you really want to show something then show your attitude to your interviewer

    All the best

    Hello,
1)It is not needed to affix your photo if you are going for the the direct interview.
2)Some of the companies tell you to affix photo in resume but the photo should be a passport size with attested.
3)Generally resume consists of details like your academic details, interest, hobbies etc. not photos.
4)So if the Recruiters is telling to affix the photo than only you proceed.

yes you should place your photo in your resume as it shows how much you are serious about a company. Attaching a photo will help you to get the job in a professional manner.
    * if you check the format of any standard resume you will find a empty space for the photo to be placed in that.

Hi. It is good to paste your photograph on your resume as then the employer relates you to a face rather than a name. Also one look at your photograph speaks volumes about you.

Your resume will look more professional and more appealing. So you should certainly not remove your photo from your resume as it creates a lasting impression.

Place pick in resume solely it is necessary. It rely on the duty you are looking.

Mate it is terribly lovely to stick a color pick at the highest of CV.As per my view in the event you have got the boldness that the your photograph is good-looking & it is going to without a doubt enhance your Resume importance you'll keep it. Provision is there to stick photograph at the resume is actually keeps further cost. varied styles of leader exists in pvt. sector usually few could need good-looking folks as they will take in to account it additionally a productivity element.

Re: Should I remove my photograph from Resume or not?

    Hello,

There is no need for photograph on resume. You can take the photographs along with you, if required.I suggest you to please do not paste any photographs on your resume.

It is of no use in the Resume.
The resume should only contain your qualification, work experience ,formal details , personality details etc...
The photograph has got no role to play in it.

If any, information about your certificates, address, date of birth,email-id,phone number, hobby, strengh ,skill that you have like languages,c,c++,java and others.if you are adding photo on your resume it's good but it will not help you in getting job you will get the job based on your skill and other qualification...To my mind,It is good to have your photo in your resume.Keep it simple that what i can say.

    Good Luck!!!!!!!

Re: Should I remove my photograph from Resume or not?

I don't think pasting of Photograph is needed in the resume.

Fixing a photograph is not there in the standard format of resume.

The Interviewer will pay attention to your career achievements but not your Photograph.

Instead of fixing a photograph on your resume, I suggest you to put the other details in an efficient and effective manner like

    -Objective
    -Academic Details
    -Strengths
    -Achievements
    -Personal Details
    -Hobbies etc.

Try to upload it in various Job portals and make sure that you are updating your resume in a regular fashion.

Before attending for any job, collect the information regarding the company, its records, milestones etc.

Put your best efforts and get the job.

    Wish you all the best.

    respected sir ,
resume is all about your details and your educational qualifications and your achievements.there is no need of photo in your resume/cv.the interviewer sees the details of your educational qualifications, your achievements and your experience but not your face.so its better to remove your photo from the resume /cv

    Hello,
In a Resume you need to keep all your academics, all the previous experience records, your abilities, life objectives etc.
It doesn't need ypour photograph to be pasted on it. because the interviewer will see you directly, he does need any photograph to see you. So don't paste your photograph in your Resume.

    Thank You

    Hello

I have seen some resumes with photo graphs. It really depends on how you make the cv and how you want it to be.

Most of them dont have a photograph so its not mandatory. If you want take it off else let it be.

The rest all part remains same like academics, hobbies, experience etc

    Thank you

Your photograph won't have much effect on your resume until and unless you have desired qualifications

for the required job, instead of thinking about the photograph you must work on presenting your resume in a better

way in a proper language .For this you can take help from various sites as now a days internet is flooded with information

that can help you in making your resume better.

Once they find that your qualifications they require matches with your resume they will automatically call you for interview.

Ya at that time you must have to present yourself with an overall pleasant personality which will add points to you in your interview.

Re: Should I remove my photograph from Resume or not?

    Dear Guest,

    * It is now a trend to attach photo with resume, but seriously it doesn't required.

    * Curriculum Vitae means your details for educational qualification , you age and other personal details , hbbies and interests.

    * There is no such pattern for attching photograph with the resume.

    * But now days many candidates following this trend. It is not bad but doesn't help you in selection.

    * Rest your opinion is wrong , as the interviewer is mostly perfect and they do not require any photograph for this purpose.

    * In many companies , attching photograph with the resume is prohibited at the time of interview.
