    Should I react to the negative and untrue comments about me in the performance review?

    I knew that this year my performance review is not going to go well and therefore I was prepared for no raise but I was surprised to see negative and untrue comments about me in the review. How do I respond or react to these comments ?

    How come you knew before hand that you are not going to get any credit in your performance review?Is it so because of any exchange of heated up arguments with your senior manager who has prepared the performence review report? I dont find any other reason for which you were prepared to face a negative performance review.But I will suggest you not to get into any further arguments regarding the negative and untrue comments that has been raised up against you.My suggestion will be,instead of defending yourself,focus on your work and by giving a good performance,you pay them back with their own coin.Good luck.

    Hi friend

    I think you should try to ignore all the negative and untrue comments about you in your performance review and try to concentrate on your performance rather than on such negativity. If you think that everything written about you in your performance review is wrong and untrue then i think you should not pay any heed to it and better try to dedicate yourselves fully to your work so that your performance speaks for itself and that you get what you deserve.

    But if you are really hurt by those comments and think that they can hurt your future then you should definitely go and talk to your manager about it. speak politely to your manager and be sure that you don't sound frustrated or arrogant. Tell your manager that you think that all the negative comments mentioned about you in your performance review is not true and you would really like the manager to tell you your shortcomings so that ylou can improve them and thus do well during the next session.

    I am sure your manager will understand your point and thus you too can make your position clear. If the comments about you are definitely untrue then your manager will not be abke to say anything and thus you can catch him there and then and then he himself will be embarrased but if your manager has some negatives to say about you then you can discuss them with him and thus clear your position. If what he is saying is true then you should try to improve your negatives and I am sure the next time you will definitely get a good performance review.

    Thus friend I am sure you will be able to clear out all your points with your manager and thus you will know the reality that whether those coments were really false or not. Thus you will know your deficiencies , if any, and you can work upon them to get an excellent performance review next time.

    Also keep on working hard and give your full dedication to your work and I am sure you will get the deserved promotion or salary hike. Good luck

    Untrue and negative comments are rumors which spread like a fire.
    You must provide evidence to state your words.
    Must be capable of stating your words.
    Must find that who had provide such wrong information.
    Thus you should not indulge in gossip as they create further rumors.

    Dear friend you are worried about your performance review because there is negative and untrue comments about you.Now you are thinking how you will respond or react to these comments.

    Dear friend you are expressing the comments which are depicted at your performance report is not true, so my view you should respond appropriately to performance reviewer informing him about the false statement /comments done because I know I am not of that nature surely it will degrade me and I can say Sir, just such wrong comments will not hurt me but my performance will go down so my request you change such wrong statement and comments from my performance report/review.If you do something for me honestly I also do for you and for the company more in future,your positive report will lead me toward the road of my development.I assure if there is any wrong beyond my knowledge it will never happen in future so this time you rectify such negative and untruth comment.
