Should I give false hope of winning the case to my client?

I am a lawyer by profession. In one of my cases which is going on at present, I am quite sure that we are going to lose it as we donít have the adequate evidence. But I donít want to tell this to my client as he will be heartbroken. Should I give false hope to my client? How to deal with such a situation?

    Hello,

No, you should not. A lawyear is a noble profession. You should never give false hopr to your clients.
There a moral and erhical issue in it. No matter waht happens you should speak the truth and give your
clients an idea of the present situation. In this way you will be serving your duty.

Your are afraid of breaking of heart of your client.

But you are sure it will break even after the case is completed.

So why you waste your and your client's time in non profitable work.

With time he will also waste money.

In this hard period if you can save his some money then it will be some beneficial for him.

If you are good man and do not want to waste his money any more then find a suitable time to tell truth to your client.

Truth is truth weather it is sweet or bitter.

So do not waste his money and also do not play with his feelings.

If you are a lawyer then you should be frank in every single case with every single client because this is your profession and you need to be professional in this area and be smart

If you are looking loss in current case then you must call your client at your office premises and make them understand everything about the situation and ask them for any type of genuine evidence so you could win the case but if your client refuse then you directly say to them that if you will not bring any proof then we may face the loss in this case and this will not be good for you so I am sure that they will try to collect proof

But do not tell a lie to any client because this will be the starting of the destruction of your career because if you will leave lies behind your seat then one day, this will definitely harm you in the job and you would be unable to accept and bear everything at that time so leave lie and be with fact and fact always wins in every single case and do not give any false hop to your client about to win the case

    All the best

If you know that your client is going to loose the case than it is of no use to keep him in his false hope.

As this will waste both your and his time and moreover it is of no use for him and you.

Also this can cause a negative effect on your image as a lawyer as he will think that you didn't told him as you wanted to earn more money from

    him.

Also if you tell him truth in time he can think of some other option to solve his problem.

Moreover if not now a few days after he will come to know that the case has not gone in his way and than he will feel bad so why not you tell him

    now.

if you are knowing that he will be heartbroken then you should not tell him the truth right now.
but since situation is alarming, one day he will know.
so,better option is that you should realize him slowly that you have not good evidence to win the case.
also you should try to win.

No, you must not give the false hope of winning to your client. There is a mutual trust relationship between client and lawyer, so you must not break it. Giving false hope also affects your goodwill in this profession. Being neutral you may state the facts of the case to your client and tell him indirectly that case is not going in his favour. On the time of court decision, his heart won't be broken as he already himself in the situation. When you give a false hope it's possible that he may took various financial and/or non financial decision, so better avoid it.

Well dear i do not think so that you give a false hope to your client for winning the case.when you know that case is over and there is nothing left in that case and you can not win it from here.you should tell the clear idea about the situation to your client.you should not waste the time and money of your client for your profit.if you tell him right his time and money will be saved.thank you
