Should I apply for Tech support after BCA to get counted the experience in IT industry?

I am pursuing BCA and I have small BPO voice process experience. After completion of my BCA I can I apply for the post of Tech support at BPO?I have heard that the experience of Tech Support is counted in IT sector. Please guide me, what should I do?

Re: Should I apply for Tech support after BCA to get counted the experience in IT industry?

    Dear friend,

First of all, I really appreciate for asking this question. At present, IT industry and BPO industry are 2 different industries. Technical customer support experience will not be counted as IT experience. In IT the top fields are:
    1. Programming (.Net, Java etc.)
    2. Web-Designing
    3. Networking/Security support
    (CCNA etc.)
    4. Database/Dataware housing (Oracle, Sql)
    5. System Administration (Windows, Linux etc.)

I suggest you to choose one which you are interested in. You may also join as a trainee
in an IT company and continue your study for MCA. Be excellent in your field. Further, you can go for professional certifications. If you are not interested in above 5 things that I told you then you may start your career with BPO but it will not be counted as IT experience. You can go with good Brands on BPO like Genpect, HCL, Dell, IBM etc.

I'm sure that my answer will greatly help you making your decisions.

    Have a great time!
    Regards,
    Mohit
