Should I always follow my bossís order?

I am an editor for one of the leading newspapers. I always follow what my boss tells me and do what he says. But this time my boss has told me to edit one of the articles which is full of false accusations against a renowned personality. I really donít feel like editing that article. So should i , as always, follow my bossí orders this time too or show my resentment?

    Hello,

Your situation is really challenging.Journalists do face this sort of problem.A struggle between ones own values and job on the other side.As an individual you have your own point of views. This time since you are really upset with the article sent to you for editing, you can express your resentment. This can put you in trouble regarding your job,but if you have courage,I will suggest you to oppose it.

This is an extreme competitive world where to survive you have to bow down sometimes. You should build an attitude within you that -Bosses are always right. This will help you in getting interested in whatever work assigned to you by him.Otherwise slowly you build an attitude of getting disinterest in many works assigned to you by him.In case of extreme resentment and disinterest you can show your disagreement.Your boss has said you to do all that, this might be inorder to increase the popularity of leading newspapers. If you don't want to edit then go for a open discussion with your boss regarding the wrong consequences that might arise from this article.

hello dear as being a private employee you should accept the order /suggestions of boss.generally this is not so good everytime but for a job it is applicable.but you are saying that the article you ate going to edit is fully FALSE and also related with wellknown will be not worthy to you.you should conveyed with boss calmly and put your all views against him/her.because write something against anybody is so simple but accept all the crisis after editing is not possible because related personality can take legal action against you.so do it after full peice of mind.thanks

    Hi,

    The decision is solely yours.
As you always follow your his orders he expects the same this time also.
But if the article is falsely accusing some one , then you can just talk about it to your boss.
You can tell him that this wrong.

You may still be ordered to edit the article, as your boss must also know this.
So if you do not follow his orders , you may be fired up or he may take some other action against you.

You should be very careful in making your decision.
    This may affect your career.

    Good luck

Its on you that how much experience you have if you dont know the work very well then you need to follow the order of your boss as it will help you to understand the situation handling.
If you are good at your work and also good in decision making then you must argue with your boss for the decision. You can explain him if any thing wrong he is ordering to you and also you need to give the alternative for the same , if your boss thinks that it is better that his idea then he will definitely follow that and also reward you for the same and also after some time he will become free of decision making as many things he will leave on you as he has already seen the demo.
If you follow all the things then there may be something that is not good if you can see that something is wrong then you need to explain it to your boss that will be the better option.
Never follow anyone blindly keep your eyes and mind open before following any of the order.
May be if he ask you write a resignation of yourself then what you will do.
Think bout it its a huge discussion that never ends.
