Sanctioning of PF amount on behalf of the candidate due to death

Provident Fund account is withdrawn by the employee himself on completion of his employee ship at some company. But suppose if a person dies and his family memberís claims on his PF amount then how can they claim on that amount?

    Hi friends....,

PF means " Provident Fund" .
I think this pf amount given to the only nominee.
Provident Fund amount is given to the nominee only and given the check only not given the by hand.
You must check the nominee form and you can apply the PF amount and submit the your account number.
You can ask the claim of PF amount it your department because they different process of different departments.

So you don't worry you can go for your department and claim the your PF amount.

    Thanks!!!

    ALL THE BEST................

    Dear,
It is the duty of every company to render the due amount of the employee to his/her family members on his/her death.
Definitely the PF amount is coming under the category of reimbusement.
But the only thing that is needed to be taken care of is that the proof of identity and proof of relationship with the employee.
Yes one more important aspect is the will of the employee if made, where all properties has its owner name.
So on submission of the so called proof(s) it has to paid to the employee's family member as directed.

    Bye take care.

    Dear Aspirant,

There is a provision to nominate a nominee for the PF account to receive the amount in case of death of the employee.

If such situation arises, the nominee who is known since before only because the wife is the legal nominee of the husband & vice versa, claims in writing to the head of the company/office where the employee was working.Who in turn process the matter further to get the amount through bank account.

If the nominee faces any problem,he/she can directly contact the regional commissioner's office,PF office who makes enquiry & do needful to the nominee.

The PF amount is fully secured.

So need not worry.Only thing is to let your nominee knows the fact & pray god to live longer.

    Thanks & good luck.

Dear Friend, an employee can withdraw the PF fund when he/she is leaving the organisation. he can also transfer the same to the new organisation where he will be working. but in the unfortunate case of death, the concerned employee's family member (nominees) can apply for the PF settlement. some of the forms and procedures required for the same are. Form 20, Form 5 IF, Form 10 D, Form 3 A, Form SFC, Form 5, Form 10, - these form can be filled in by the help of the employer or by the HR department. other things required are Passport size photos of all the nominees, original death certificate of the concerned employee, the copy of the passbook of a nationalised bank of the nominee, if these requirements are met the fund will be paid in favour of the nominee within the reasonable time. hope this answer's your question? Have a nice day. Regards Sydney
