Salary rollback and demotion for lack of performance in first quarter

This year my team leader has alleged that I didnít perform well in the first quarter. He has recommended for salary roll back and demotion. I feel it is a biased decision. What should I do as it is turning out to be a big controversy which can damage my image?

Re: Salary rollback and demotion for lack of performance in first quarter

    Hi aspirant

If you haven't peformed well then you can't do anything but withstand this difficult time in your professional life. You should try to fight it courageously rather than thinking negatively about your future and what will happen to your career. Your image can certainly be damaged by this but you should not worry about this and rather let your work speak for you. You should work so hard now that your team leader and your officials take notice of your capabilities and thus you are given your position back.

You should act quickly and don't delay it any further. But in case you feel that you have given a good performance and your team leader is having wrong opinion about you, then you should go and talk to him. Tell him that you have been working very hard all throughout the first quarter but if he still feels that you have given a bad performance then you hope that he will tell you your drawbacks so that you can improve and thus increase the standard of your performance.

Then I am sure that your team leader will see what he can do for you and you too will gain sympathy from him. Then I hope that your image will not be affected that much. I hope that you work with full dedication and thus show everyone what you are capable of. Good luck
